Looking for an all mountain park ski that still feels playful

I'm 6'1, 185 pounds, more athletic than the average joe but nothing crazy. I run once a week, and weight lift at least 3 times a week so I'm in pretty decent shape. I really want to find a ski to start diving into park skiing. Right now i live in colorado and ski double blacks almost exclusively; lots of off piste, tree dense trails. I ski quite aggressively, ive topped out at around 55mph on my currents skis. I'm skiing nordica enforcer 100 (177cm length) right now and they are incredible for what I do currently but I learned to ski switch ok, hit some rails, and small jumps now but honestly a total novice in the park (i know no real tricks tbh) and want something more made for that style. I really dont want to spend a lot but I dont mind doing it if I need to for the right pair of skis. I want to learn some buttery stuff, looks so fun! Right now I'm looking at the 2019/2020 Faction Prodigy 2.0 (183cm length) cause they are on sale but they really seem like a decent fit. But lots of people say they are too stiff for buttery tricks plus idk if going up in length that much will hurt my performance in general. With my weight and ski experience does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions for me? Thanks for taking the time to read and happy new year ya filthy animals!

I’d consider on3p jeffry102, k2 Reckoner 102, if you are willing to go a bit wider k2 marksman all through not super wide are still fine as park skis and are super fun and surf in soft snow. Maybe also bentchetler 100s or arv 106

ARVs. I've got a set of 96's, and they rip hard on double blacks. They rip everything. Super playful.

I think the Line Vision 108 could be a good option as well

If you don't know any real tricks you should probably focus on the first spins and stuff before trying butters cus that just makes you look like a jerry. But I ski chronics and they're surprisingly flexy and playful. Probably not good for super deep powder though but pretty much everything else goes.

Thank you for the suggestions everyone! I'm gonna continue to work on my park skiing with my enforcers and wait a bit on buying a new pair. Hopefully I can get a better bag of tricks together and get a better idea of what I'd prefer in a park ski. Anyone have any opinions on the length. I've heard it doesnt matter that much but I was just curious. And I'll try to avoid doing anything jerry-like lol.

I'm about 6'1 (185cm) and I wouldn't buy a ski shorter than that. Mine are 185 and they're pretty much perfect

Claim! Just came to say nice big balls thread op. Good read. Good first post even though it's the classic genre most of us started with lol.

Lots of good suggestions below. If you haven't already, check out blister reviews and newschoolers roof box reviews on the skis you're interested in. That really helped me. If you can't decide between two skis, bump this thread and maybe we can vote on it to help you decide. Don't be afraid to go 100-108 on your ski as more and more people are skiing wider skis in the park nowadays. That'll also give you more versatility outside the park.

Some other questions to ask yourself:
-will this be your 1 ski quiver?
-will you still ski your old skis a lot?
-what length do you want? You could go up if this is gonna be your primary ski for everything. (I'm biased towards big skis)
-what's your primary objective in park? Everything? Rails? Jumps? More playfulness in the ski? Easier to butter? Depending how you answer this, one end of the spectrum could have you at a softer flex of skis or ones that are similar length to your current skis or longer stiffer skis. What us your goal and intended use is probably the most important question.

183 ski won’t be an issue at 6’1. Just looks steeze imo.

i would say maybe armada edollo or arv 96 are nice suggestions

Factions run short. I’m 5’11 and my Prodigy 2.0 is 183 and it’s shortest ski I own (it measures at 181). If you’re looking for a more freestyle oriented ski, the mount point will be way further forward than your Enforcer. I’d be looking around 185 for your height and weight. K2 Reckoner 102 184 would be a great option, as well as the Volkl Revolt 104 188. The Reckoner measures in at 184 and the Revolt at 186, so those 2 would be great for your dimensions. Mount points are both pretty close to center, around -2, so you could learn some freestyle/park stuff and also ski the rest of the hill well. @anders_a loves his Revolt from what I understand.

keeping enforcers? what other skis you got? Depending on weight the enforcer 100s tend to top out around there, probably nimble in trees but honestly a bit short for you btw. at 1

prod 2.0s at 183 is 0 problem. a lot of other good skis mentioned as well

you need to separate low vs higher speed butters, some skis with the right rocker profile will be super easy to inititate with little to no effort, while others needs some more comittment. Your heavy enough that the prod 2's and most skis should butter quite well even at lower speeds though.

Thanks you all so much. Very glad I found this community. You guys gave me way more to work with than I expected! I'm glad longer skis isnt an issue and ya i figured with my weight a slightly stiffer park ski might help me feel more comfy learning butters. I am just starting in park so I'm at a novice level in that respect for now so I didnt want to get anything so stiff that I wouldn't be able to bend them at all when I decide to start trying butters. I really want to be able to do everything with it but it's going to be 90% park ski because I'm definitely keeping my enforcers, they will be my main all mountain ski but I did want to fuck around outside the park a little bit in whatever I decide on if possible but park performance is most important cause my enforcers kill it on runs. The enforcers just took a bad beating learning how to hit rails and boxes which I can do now with a relatively high success rate(hooray), still not crazy comfy though. Gotta put in more work on those for sure(I skateboard too so I'm very used to doing something over and over to get the trick looking fucking perfect, love that shit tbh). I'll be hitting some jumps for sure but nothing crazy cause I have a bad knee and dont wanna blow it out. So I'll be doing mostly rails, small jumps, butters, and grabs. Nothing crazy. Im betting 95% of this forum has knee issues.

prod 2.0's will be good to you, mounted like -2 from true center coming from more normal skis true center isnt needed for most stuff, allthough a lot of the kids seem to think so.

if you can hit rails on enforcer 100s mounted at what -10? your in for a treat. Also the 177 enforcer is to short for you for most skiiing, maybe ok for slow treestuff.

your probably heavy enough to make most skis butter fairly well, but some really requires no to low effort like the revolt 104. I also like to ride theese all over, not just park, they are actually a fun ski just to ski.

you should read some reviews, like the roofbox review here to see what you think you might like and what you might not like.

arv 96 should be mentioned, k2 reckoner 102 allready mentioned. I know we can get the prod 2.0s 2020 for like $200 which is crazy, think they have overstock, the misc collab versions looks sick.

all theese suggestions are for park orientet stuff, but you also get cool crossovers that can hold an edge and be fun not just in the park, revolt 104 might probably get a spot in both, with forward mounted 102 FR and m-free 108 ARV 106 / 96 , jeffry etc.
