Does moisture eventually make its way into the wood core of a ski through the drill holes?

And if so, is there a better gule that can be used in the drill holes to prevent moisture from getting in?

I’ve heard epoxy is good for waterproofing and hold, but it does expand some, apparently.

Generally not unless you fuck it up somehow. Wood glue generally holds well for me, and through many mounts/remounts of a few demo fleets, I’ve rarely seen any water damage in holes when pulling bindings off.

If you use Titebond type III, you’ll be fine. It’s readily available and is waterproof. Most other shops will use Monatana Tuning’s silicone based glue, but that’s a little tougher to get.

after glueing and screwing, let the mount cure for 12-24 hours at room temp. That should be enough
