Replying to GoPro Max

Anyone on here use the Max much?
I'll probably use it mostly on my helmet for the quickness and ease of setting and forgetting it plus the odd follow cam with it on a pole. What other mounts work well? Not a fan of skiing with a gopro on a pole out in front of me because it just feels and looks awkward to me.
Also, workflow. Do you need to put the 360 footage into FCP or Premier to get the most out of the reframing? I'm finding it somewhat difficult to get a smooth reframe with the app.
