First time trimming skins!

Just trimmed my first pair of skins didn’t mess them up so I’m pretty happy about that gonna test them out this afternoon

Hell yeah I just trimmed mine the other day. Cheated with a trim tool. My first laps on them are tomorrow pretty stoked.

Trim tool helped a ton I had to do a few parts next to the clips with a razor blade and Ik if I had to do the whole thing I would have probably chopped my hand off. Hope they work good and be safe

To ski pow before work on the weekends and for late szn when the hills close but still have snow. Along with early szn

I made myself some little diy daymakers, have trimmed up my new skins, will hopefully test them out in the next couple of weeks. Super exciting stuff am I right

You bought skins to hike HV and H-M?


Anywhere with hills and snow has places you can tour. NY gets lake effect snow. Usually if there's pow, avalanche danger is pretty high, so a lot of touring is done on harder snow anyway. For someone planning to tour on bigger mountains it's good to practice touring and transitions on the terrain you're used to first.

I've had a ton of good days just skinning up the resorts after they close in the spring. Sure I've toured for good pow turns and hike only chutes but sometimes a hike and ski down is fun regardless of the mtn or conditions.
