So I recently blew apart my pivot's and brought them into a local ski shop that I've had a friendly relationship with for about 10 years or so. I'm a uni student, so I don't have much expendable income and buying new bindings is already a big deal for me. So I pick out some Tyrolia attack 13's and pay with my credit card, the bill is $309, and it gets declined. I step outside, and I remember that I recently paid it off and needed to wait a couple of days. I go back in to pay with my debit card, and some Karen is now behind the desk and hands me a bill that's now $339.
I ask why it's more expensive, and she says that it's for the mount fee? The other employee I was with had worked out the price to include a mount, so I grabbed the other declined bill with the original $309 price, and she shrugs it off. This entire situation was super uncomfortable and reeked of BS. I end up paying for it and then getting a call 10 min later that they need to put some shitty marker binding on for more money because the mount doesn't fit properly with the Tyrolia's. I'm ready to cause a scene when I pick my shit up, but maybe I'm overreacting.
What would you guys do in my scenario?
