Arv 86 vs twall pro

I have heard the twalls arent the most durable but someone more familiar with with them should know

I have the ARVs and I love them! Little disclaimer they are a little short on me and I’m not the best at park. The are soft enough to butter but I can still bomb and do huge side hits not problem. (No jumps at my hill yet) They can do really quick switch ups and can spin really fast. They can also handle all mountain pretty well and carve good even detuned a little. I haven’t tried them in soft snow yet but they are probably not the best in anything remotely deep. Can you give more information like where you ski and style and height and weight.

Oh word sounds like my hill lmao. That sounds pretty much exactly what I’m looking for and I’m 6 1 so I was thinking 184. what are you on? Also how are the edges holding up?

I’m 5’ 7” on 163s come up to about my eyes. I thought they would feel a little short going fast all mountain but they feel fine. Getting it longer would definitely be fine because they’re skinny the swing weight would still be low. The edges rolled over a little and then I detuned them just a tiny bit and they are super smooth on rails. The edges have no sign of damage except for some little dents. Only damage anywhere else is some top sheet chips. Armada definitely has a better reputation for durability than line.

No problem, I love helping people get on skis they’ll love. And you can probably find last years on sale cheap! If you have a sporthoma near you, you can pick up last years pair for $275.

I was just in the same situation, I ended up getting the arvs to save some money, they are also 200 grams lighter and in my opinion look cooler. Im coming from the sir Francis bacon so I though it would be cool to diversify my ski brand knowledge. Wachusett will be the place I call home for the season so a much narrower ski is in my best interest. there hill is not the steepest and last year i missed out on a slush day because my skis were to fat to get speed to hit the jumps. long story short arvs are cooler, rip ft. long live Tanner hall
