WTF should I wear to the Deer Valley crab leg buffet?

My mind is firmly set on making a mission to the culinary epitome of fine Deer Valley cuisine, the crab leg buffet.

Ima be going hard, gettin my money's worth.
Crackin and crushin these crabby little claws like high-crab-ohydrate diet is the coolest new craze!

Now, I don't want these high-society Deer Valley holiday tourists judging me on how many trips I'm making (won't draw attention to myself with towering plates), so I'll need expert level camouflage to blend in.

I've already had one unpleasant encounter on Main Street where a pack of pea-coat Ken Dolls made fun of my outfit as they walked by, and my fragile ego cannot handle another such blow.

In this town, people seem to blend in by trying to stand out, so all ideas are welcome.

It's more than crab legs, any seafood you can think of, its pretty good. But, the seafood buffet is probably the most casual dining experience at DV, gotta hit up the maraposa or fireside dining.

Ohhh Swiss Raclette at Fireside. That looks amazing ill try that next time I'm up there. Mariposa looks nice too, but seems like somewhere to take a date. That buffet The Roof looks like my next buffet night out though.

gorsuch or something, idk. its like the most chill dining place there in terms of setting. I dont think it has a real hardcore dresscode like the other dining places there. Or you could go kick it at the employee dining room and eat some leftover buffet slop! my favorite part of being an employee there: Rubbery mac and cheese!

That sounds terrible honestly butbto each their own.

I like beer, and i like jalapenos, but jalapeno beer sounds fucked and cream ales generally suck.

Its actually not as bad as you would think. Kind of like an IPA but with jalapeno spice instead of the usual hoppy bite. You can only drink a single 12 oz before it catches up to you but its pretty decent for a summer brew to try with a burger.

This is the funniest thing to do a buffets. If there is a line, pick up a dish and smell it and put it back with a weird look on your face and kind of shake your head. Then watch and see how many people behind you get it. Its a fun experiment to do when your bored.

I always wear a Hawaiian shirt that i bought in Maui in 2008 for $10. It works perfectly for both a troll and gentleman. It just depends what personality you're going for. I've found both have equally successful results depending on circumstance.

If you want real suggestions then something semi formal would be the best. When I was in PC a few years ago I wore a normal button down and a pullover if you wanted a reference.

When I saw em in there, I just kinda sat right there at the table next to them and kept randomly pointing at them when i was talking to the waitress. Making them feel awkward for an hour was just the right amount of petty 🤗

Guy on his phone is wearing a flannel hoodie and the other guy has on what looks like a Patagonia nano puff, some jeans, and boots. Idk where you guys are getting this ken doll stuff from but it kinda seems like there's a bit of projection going on here. That's what everyone wears in the mountain west because it's practical and comfortable. What do you wear?

Lmao where's the pea coat? If these guys seem yuppie to you, then you've probably never seen a true brad/chad. I was expecting more from this and am sad to be let down. Their clothing choices are middle class at best.

Curious what you were wearing (or doing) to have dudes "make fun" of you. 99% of guys give zero fucks.

And for the crab leg buffet thingy, who cares what you're wearing or what people think of you. Unless ur tryin to make friends or if there's a dress code, don't worry about it. If someone has a problem, fuck em.

Thank you all for your input. I went to Deer Valley yesterday to do a little reconnaissance. Have 2 bags packed for tonight.

One is a tasteful knit sweater with a bloodstone jewelry set.
One is a chaotic idgaf Goth Sheriff look.

I'll see how feel right before I get dressed to decide which one to put on.
