Its been fine at Copper, el Dora as well. I was holding out false hope that one mtn in Summit County would stay open without res... but that was just that, false hope. I still imagine folks will be able to ride most days they want to.

For sure, I think its just the "uncontrolled" crowd just worries the resort.

Especially with the holidays coming up. If a resort gets directly linked to a rise in Covid cases, that’s a huge risk to not only their operations, but the operations of resorts throughout the country.

Imagine how destructive the headline “Ski resort negligence leads to 500 new Covid-19 cases during Christmas weekend” would be. That’s what makes lifts stop spinning

They are being negligent in the first place by being open! If they have a rats ass they would be closed. There already have been a ton of outbreaks directly linked to ski resorts and it has not been detrimental to them at all. For example, Whistler had a huge COVID outbreak in their staff housing due to overcrowding.

Have there been outbreaks linked directly to the act of having guests ski? I completely understand that in order to have a ski resort, you have to have staff on-site, but that type of spread is due to housing, not skiing right?

Just curious because I haven't read much about ski outbreaks.

It was fucking stupid. I grew up skiing this mountain and I've never seen anything like these lines.

I mean, when every other mtn in summit county forces reservations and you're the only one not... naturally anyone without a res is going to flock there. Makes sense... I don't blame them for forcing reservations.
