Looking for the heaviest hitting BC setup

Yo, I am looking for a bomber, no bullshit BC set up. I am coming off some old Black Diamond pow skis with G3 ions for my current set up, but rip Kartels and Billy Goats inbounds. I’m looking for a fun, durable set up with tech bindings. Weight isn’t really an issue

But seriously, for hard-charging touring ski, the Bentchetler 100 or 120 depending on what underfoot you want sounds pretty good, but they are decently flexible. Black Diamond has always kinda been known for making good chargy touring skis.

The Moment Deathwish tour sounds pretty good, it's a really versatile ski that is definitely a heavy hitter. Maybe the 4frnt Hoji Tour, too?

Catamaran 120 can prolly find them on sale 2 these and marksman absolutely surf in soft snow and are super freestyle oriented for being pow skis super playful and fun plus a cast touring setup would work with them

After seeing Cody Townsend's "The Fifty Project" and just how much crazy shit he skied on the QST 106's, I think they would make a pretty good touring setup, especially for hefty spring lines.

I mean, idk what you're trying to achieve out there, like if you wanna be soft and jibby and flip through the air or something,...

BUT if youre trying to smash out couloirs and demanding edge-hold-confidence for directional charging varied conditions, you might find the QST to be a practical choice.

If weight really isn’t an issue than just find skis you would prefer to use otherwise. Putting tech bindings or at least a cast system is going to made a world of difference in touring comfort already.. if you’re doing huge day missions that’s one thing, but one of my buddies beasts out everyone on the skin track with 180+ moment bibbys

I haven't tried them personally, but Sammy C charges ridiculously hard and just released his signature ski with Aramada. The Whitewalker. Look like a solid ski for sure.

Cast system for sure,for weight savings (minor) get some pivot 15's to go with,

Weight really does make a big difference, you should know considering you had Ion's and going to anything else will be a harsh piece of reality.


Benchetler is probably the lightest big freestyle pow ski out there

Line Pescado if you wanna be a real badass and shred the deepest of the deep

for going 50-60mph big mountain like a lunatic or more freeride fun? katana 108 is out, corvus 196 is a beast etc... but not sure how fun



Im putting duke PT16's on revolt 121's with inserts so I can move over to BO 118 as well.



also awaiting CAST toes to put on older devastator with pivot 18s.... 4005 grams per ski, then you can talk about weight.... will be near resort stuff for sure, or get a hell of a workout.

They are all just jealous, cast is still the best system out there. Marker Duke PT 16 looks cool too, but don't know enough about it yet. Shifts I would not buy myself now due to hearing about durability issues.

Yeah. IDK. CAST is by far the least BS on the down. That said, I have found that it can be pretty fiddly and frustrating at transitions. So it depends on what you really want and need. I'm also a little weird in that I'm pretty much out of patience for fiddly bindings. The most reliably performing bindings I've ever owned have been the Vipec. Put probably 130 days on them with only one, very small faff the whole time. Haven't had that experience with Ions, Shift, Cast, or Radicals. I've had frustrating days on all of those. Maybe Moment Voyagers will be that good, but I only have five days on them. So far though, they fit that bill really well.
