Monoliths: artificial trend or real?

Seems that google has been shoving stories about these things down. See lots of news stories but don't hear much organic conversation about them. Not becoming a large meme it seems. Makes me think its juat a buzz marketing campaign that the organizers started and tipped some media folks off to to help get the word out. I welcome any theories. Tin foil hat time.

First one seems like it will eventually be revealed that it was an art piece or marketing for something. The rest are copycats looking to cash in, I mean the small ski resort of Sunlight has one now lol

Would be interesting to see an analysis done on the original one in Utah compared to the other copies. Sure there's a lot of differences.

Also, have any of these been found outside the US?

First one seems real enough but the rest aren’t. But maybe we will grab their attention with our fake ones and they will realize we are friendly?? What I want to know is if they truly don’t know about the first one why not setup a trail camera aiming at it?
