I found my wife a good deal on some unused Völkl Yumis that were prepped as demos. This included a tougher material topsheet and tip protectors. Great deal overall, and the topsheet doesn’t look any different.
However, she didn’t like the aluminum tip protectors (and I agree they didn’t look good). So, we unscrewed them and took them off.
It looks completely fine, but the holes went a lot deeper than I thought. They go pretty far. I’d say they go all the way into the tip spacers and almost to the topsheet.
My question is this: do I need to do anything? Initially, I was worried about water damage but as I thought about it - it’s just tip spacer and base exposed. No core is touched.
Will it Be fine or should I use a base candle on it or?
