2021 Prodigy 3.0 Length

Hey all,

Looking for opinions on 178 or 184cm Faction Prodigy 3.0s.
Coming off riding the 181 Jeffrey 96s, and 183 (2013) Bentchetlers, so fairly rockered skis.

I'm 174.5 cms tall 160lbs, riding Whistler and Vancouver local hills. I ski pretty laid back and flowy, but semi aggressive, hitting pretty steep tight tree lines and whis bowls. I also take jaunts into the medium jump line for a few runs every time I go up. Not a big rail guy, spins are limited to 540s for the most part so I'm not too concerned with swing weight.

Went to the shop and the 178 just feels too short, but coming off the rockered ski history, I'm used to long skis. Wondering if I should size down due to the less rocker more camber build of the prodigy than what I'm familiar with.

But Antii skis 8cms longer than his height and I need that long ski cred.

183/184 whatever it is is gonna measure 181/182 straight tape so I don’t see why you shouldn’t go there if you don’t mind a bit longer of a ski

Bump up in size and mount at +2cm, call it a day

I'll probably bring a tape measure next time I hit up the shop to ogle lol. Was planning on a mount -3 from true center.

Get the 184 for more all mountain/solid feel and the 178's if you just want to ride them in the park/spin a lot. I ride the 184's and similar build

It always so weird looking at what 6cms actually looks like and its not really anything, but oh man feels like a big difference on paper haha.

Maybe try finding information on the length of the camber in the Bentchetlers and ON3Ps and compare it to that of the Prodigys?

Was that on the older models? I've read they were about 3cm short for size, and this years are pretty true to length straight tape. At least according to Twig's Roofbox Reviews.

Seems the consensus is the 184s, though, so ill probs go that way anyways haha

Yes it was. But to be frank - I wouldn’t put too much stock in 3cm difference. It’s nothing.
