Ascendant SC compatible with Pivot 12?

Whats up everybody, my buddy is getting a pair of full tilt ascendant SC for Christmas and currently has a pair of look pivot 12’s on his skis. I was just wondering if these boots would even be compatible with the pivots since they are gripwalk.

If his pivots are non grip walk versions he just needs to use the alpine soles rather than the gripwalk ones.

Not in the box no but they are in stock so he can order them now.

Would he need to get the “FTE outsoles with screws” or the “ascendant 5355 soles”
I see that the ascendants have the plastic bit on the bottom of them. But this wouldn’t be comparable with pivot 12’s?

If his pivot does not say GripWalk on it, he needs the 5355 soles. If the binding says GripWalk, he doesn’t need to buy new soles.
