CUSHKOMAI know that no ski is indestructible especially if you’re hitting rails constantly but I’m a little frustrated as I’ve just busted my second pair of ARV 96s in the last year. Although it’s been my favorite park ski performance wise it just doesn’t hold up as well as I’d hoped it would. That being said, I’m in the market for a new park ski and am wondering what would be a good option that holds up well. My three choices as of right now are the K2 Poacher, J Allplay, or ON3P Jeffery 96. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
WoFlowzI’m pretty biased but the poacher is pretty bomb proof haven’t seen one break in person. Heard of edges going after a solid 3 years of abuse but nothing else. They are stiffer more stable park skis not gonna be very butterable unless you have speed. The ON3P is also really durable from what Ik and have heard from people that ride them still a bit stiffer than an arv96 but def not as stiff as the poacher. It’s up to you from there, I recommend trying to find a demo of one of them.

DominatorJacquesThere is no "most" bomb proof ski.
1: you need to tune it for park rails.
2: you need to slam rails less hard, be smoother. Plus your joints will last longer too.
CUSHKOMAI’m well aware that there is no “most” bombproof park ski, that was just slang for something more durable. I understand the importance of keeping light feet on rails, the problem is I’m a big dude (6’4” 210lbs) so my skis take on more of a beating due to my size.
Adolf_SkitlerHave you tried claiming warranty? I got arv96 two years ago and I just got my second free pair for breaking the sidewall. I'm basically sponsored now.
FruitBootProyo how much does regular rail skiing destroy your ski? Is having a ski you can lap parks with and then take on big mountain later in the season asking too much?
lil.BoyeI have ridden poachers and i’m riding some kartels 108 rn. Both feel bombproof. My poschers lasted 2 seasons and 3 pairs of bindings. Would have still been able to ride them if i could remount them center.
Just about every on3p ski i have been on have felt very durable *cough* both my buddys k96, bg and even the magnuses i managed to break.
little_JibbahYou went through three pairs of bindings in two years??? What bindings and what part broke?
lil.BoyeSalomon sth. back spring ripped out of the binding.
look pivot 14. the plate that spins with the dildo broke.
marker griffon. The brake stem(?) pulled out and broke the montingplate.
only binding i have never broken is the attack 2. just bent brakes.

DominatorJacquesDamn, you must go big!
lil.BoyeJust butter a lot. I do at least 4 butters every run.
anders_awhen I see people doing butters it makes me happy. butter the mountain!

driftsHe goes big into ditches lol
DominatorJacquesHmmmm...somehow I don't see that.
How about you?
driftsIt was a reference to an old thread he made where he snapped his new on3ps by skiing into a ditch and the thread was really big and controversial and there were stickers made about it and stuff, I think the thread has been deleted but everyone’s a good sport about it now

SkimanbillI must say on3p has gone down in durability I still ride my k2 public enemies and maybe have 2 edge cracks just bought poachers and feel like they followed the public enemy build good ski for price point
lil.Boyedamn, sad to hear, only had on3p from before 2018. my 2017 kartel 108 have been to hell and back and still as solid as the day i bought them second hand. edges are beat but expected after heavy rail use. topsheet got only small chips and less than expected
DominatorJacquesAgain, there is no "bomb-proof" skis made anywhere!
CUSHKOMAPerhaps “Bombproof” wasn’t the most appropriate term I should’ve used when creating this thread. I should’ve went for Durable instead, my bad.
Steezy-Kon3p durability has not changed at all. on3ps durability still blows k2s away, you get what you pay for

DominatorJacquesSome people just need to learn how to be smoother getting on to rails.
Some folks have no issues with whatever they ride, while other break everything they ride.
It's not always the ski, it's the skier.
Skimanbill5 pair shot in 2 seasons all properly detuned and taken care all were sent back to get fixed by them and they said the Core was shot or couldn't repair. Luckily they hooked me up with 50 percent off but same thing happened

Jemsyou pay 750 dollars for your underfoot edges to fall out right way, but at least you have that cool green base!
wideassboisounds like you get edge cracks and don't fill em with epoxy. leading to water getting to the core and ruining the ski quickly.
Most skis can last multiple seasons unless you ski hard as absolute hell and snap a ski.
wideassboidid you not take care of your edges as they fell out?
