Super low profile helmets

need a new dome that doesnt look super dumb, i mostly ride no helmet or with a protec when i hit jumps but i kinda decided id be better off shelling some money and protecting the dome instead of being stupid. I dont know shit about hlmets so someone pls point me in the right direction for a skate style helmet thats super low profile (extra points if its cheap or has some tech shit)

A buddy got one of the new Oakley helmets with MIPS. I think thats what henrik is rocking as welll. looks pretty good. Im on an older giro shiv I like a lot.

good call on getting a bucket.

I use the Sandbox legend helmet, super simple skate-style helmet, comfy, not too expensive. I’ve been super happy with it so would definitely recommend

Other than it not passing certification for skiing pretty much...doesn't have a winter lining though so better be wearing a cap or balaclava

I just ordered the bike one and I think it actually is certified for skiing. I think the only difference is the lining.

giro ledge for sure go with the mips one and it’s pretty cheap helmet wise

alright, so im mainly looking at the poc fornix spin and the bern macon mips cuz they look pretty sick. i remember wearing a homies giro ledge in the past and it looked pretty big even though it fit my head, how would either of those helmets compare? thanks for the responses so far theyve been pretty helpful

go to a shop and try on the giro ledge. Fits well with a variety of goggles only 90$ with mips 60$ with out

Giro Ledge is a staple, I’ve been riding K2s Phase Pro for years. Super low profile, looks good and it protects my noggin. Highly recommend, pretty cheap by helmet standards.

question: is a helmet rated for skateboarding/inline/bmx ok for snow as well? I've been using my super low profile inline helmet for skiing the last couple times I went

I got a good deal on a grimnir mips from sweet protection. Plenty of tech, looks rad, solid and low profile. They've got some other less expensive helmets that imo look decent. I've gotten only positive reactions from buddies and lift line strangers, but def not worth it @msrp. Look into pret too
