Wax, wax, wax?

The new deal in fluoro-free racing wax. The Elite line is priced like an HF wax, but we will see.
I'll be using it this season starting 12/7/20.
Testing will be done.

suggestions on good tuning tools and equipment? im still doing things old-school with two saw horses, an iron, scrapers, and brushes lol

I use all BEAST stuff. Bench, vice, and file guides.

thanks for the info, dude. will look into some of that stuff. been needing a proper setup and now especially i might need one to travel with so we can get kids skis ready for comps and stuff haha

Holy shit that wax is expensive! Literally 4x what I paid for zoom/bullet. I see no fluoro but does it contain hydrocarbons? Since those are technically harmful too.

Also side note, what's your opinion on roto brushes? Obviously faster but are they superior to hand brushing for quality? I'm sold on dominator waxes but they're a bitch and a half to work with especially if you're doing multiple skis.

Yes, the Elite line is spendy. $1.18 per gram. The FFC is not. The other top brand race waxes are spendy too. Swix Pro TSB is $1.44 per gram at the 180 gram size and $1.75 at the 40 gram size.

I am a hand brush guy only. Roto is a gimmick. Easy to over do, too much dust and not faster skis. If you scrape good, like you should, then brushing is no problem.

After 4 days of testing two different structured skis, two days each pair, with Elite NS 2 the results are it's very very fast.
Today was the coldest day with high ice content in the snow, and extremely hard packed.
The glide was so fast it was scary. Felt like I was being pulled or pushed even. Like greater than gravity!
Lots of high speed skiing. Bases look very polished and hard, so durability looks to be excellent. I'll be back with more as we move forward.
