Dkim_1090% of the time I'm in the park and ever so rarely go out west so most of the time I'm in the park hitting rails and some jumps. I like the playfulness in a ski were I can mess around on rails that are flexy but at the same time a little stable. With the FR skis my buddy who is selling his pair asked me if I wanted to buy them and not sure which ski to get. I know that FR are super durable when it comes to park and want to know how line chronics compare with durability. I am also wondering which ski would be better in the park that would be fun to ride around and learning new tricks and how flexy chronics are.
animatorChronics aren’t super soft, but the Riches are definitely a little bit stiffer. The rocker profile makes them easy to leverage for ollies and stuff like that, but they can still hold up on jumps and fast skiing. Chronics are solid too, but the Riches will be more durable. Check the skis that your friend is selling for edge cracks, or separation between the top sheet/sidewall/edges/bases before you buy them. If they’re mint, I’d suggest those over Chronics for heavy park use.
