Replying to CAST, Pivots, and AFD plate pressure

So I'm trying to fix a problem where there was way too much pressure on the AFD plates on my new Cast touring system with pivot 15's. I took them to shop and they told me I should be able to just barely slide a business card between the AFD and my boot. I ended up having to bend the CAST toe pedestals (as advised by CAST customer service) in a vice because they were bent upwards making the AFD plates higher than they should but problem is, I still cant slide a business card between the AFD and my boot.

I had a shop fit my boots to an older pair of skis with pivot 12's and I just went and double checked and I can't slide a business card in those skis either. Do pivots have a problem with the AFD being to high? What are some ways to fix this issue? Or is this not that big of a deal?

Also I will talk to a shop again but I want to get an idea for things I might be able to try.
