The pivot bolt unscrews into two pieces if I remember correctly. One end is a smaller screw that threads into the shaft that then goes all the way through the binding. I remember it being torqued really, really tight, so be carefull loosening it. And when you put it back together, use locktite, you really don't want it working loose while you're skiing.

That is the original. Its just a posi screw at one end. The bolt (round silver part in that photo) that pivot screw goes into is supposed to be fix firmly in the toe plate, but they often spin which make it really hard to remove. If the bolt is spinning you will probably need to drill it out and replace the pivot bolt if they want to reuse the bindings.
