Touring skins - ARE THEY OKAY ?

Hi all,

So I build my first touring setup this year. I'm on the East coast, so we're not planning on anything too big at this time, mainly slack around a few resorts. After reading and watching a bunch online, I bought these skins and I was wondering if they were actually fitting okay.

Line Sakana 174 results in this :
(fresh out of the box, the skin basically ends at the heel of the binding.)

This is how it’s supposed to be. Looks like the G3 Alpinist Universal to me, I have the same problem one. G3’s theory is that the majority of the grip is directly in front of and under the binding, because of the way that your weight is distributed when touring. This means that weight can be eliminated by producing the skin this way, as there is little to no grip behind the binding.

They do need to be cut though

That looks a little shorter than my Black Diamonds but I mean- if they make it to the tail that’s kind of all there is to it right? That should be kind of a snug fit lengthwise anyway.

130mm XS (150-166) G3 alpinist. I'm on the second or third to last clip at the tail. You need to mesure from tip to the middle of the swallowtail. Pretty sure you could go with the S (161-177) since the sakana's needed length is about 164ish.

You should still make you're own research to make sure it fits your needs.
