little_boy_primeI just want to publicly appreciate Alta for keeping me humble. I might think I'm hot shit, then I'll be riding up wildcat and see so many people stomp massive tricks right under the lift and I realize how much I actually suck at skiing.
BigPurpleSkiSuitYup, I might feel like a hotshot at Snowbird, but I know there are hundreds of guys at Alta who could hit the same shit I just did and probably throw in a fat 3 blunt on it too.
SuspiciousFishThat being said, Alta and Snowbird are totally different beasts. Alta may have some nice floaty knolls to trick off but I have never seen exposed Big Mtn lines like I have seen at Snowbird. If you can tear down Daltons Draw, Tower 3 or some of the crazy lines on High Baldy you have earned my respect.

This guy might just be the best technical line skier at Snowbird right now. He's always ripping it up, and doing cool shit, plus he's got gopro footage of a ton of stuff. You can see me at the end of one of these lines on a traverse. Then there's Reed who does it all. There are a few more rippers at Alta, but the ones who really rip the bird(not me) are REALLY REALLY good
SuspiciousFishDamn, I need to ski with this dude. No joke he has almost the exact same style and line selection I would take. He even goes out of his way for the occasional "Sketchy Freshy". Thanks for sharing the video, Im definately going to check out his other stuff.
Sometime in the future I need to get back out to Snowbird. Ill definitely message you if I do. I stomped around that place for a few seasons and really miss the mountain.
BigPurpleSkiSuitHe's in impeccable shape most of the season, super hard to keep up with. I've tried it a few times, and it ain't easy. You got it though!

MXmxThere’s so many reasons to love Alta
Ski only
Terrain
Low key
Non corporate
Wish there were more Altas.
theabortionatorSnowboarding is fun sorry you can't hang. I'll be at alta in the late spring again this year. Always fun to make some turns and piss off some nerds.
MXmxI guess if you like messing with your bindings all day, it’s fun.
I know how to snowboard. Not into it.
did you get the memo this is a ski site?
theabortionatorMan that 3 seconds it takes to strap in really puts a damper on life. I'll just never get that time back.
Idk alta is fucking dope as these threads etc show. But there's def the weird "look how core we are" element with some people. No other mountains are going to try to ban snowboarding so just stick to the few you have. Def an interesting number 1 reason for digging alta. Me and Johnny tsunami will shred elsewhere. Brapp
Will exit thread and let it go back to stoke fest. Alta is cool as fuck at least 10 of my closest friends have lived and worked there over the years, a few still there. Def has a solid community.

SFBv420.0bout how long you figures its gonna take ya to scooch up or one foot wallow up the east castle side step traverse?
ever wonder why they dont waste money on a park crew in the holy land?
is bambi basin not another mountain that doesnt need a dieing demigraphic to thrive?
ill always be a bcc er but yes you become a better skier at alta just by osmosis of talent
and when i go being led around by angels and jimmys dad is quite humbling
[/brag]
Way*MoUsing side stepping as your leading argument invalidates the rest of your pst immediately. Nobody should ever side-step traverse. Put in a proper bootpack or use gravity. And I think you messed up Jimmy there bud, if your going to [/brag] you might want to get the both names of the siblings your using correct.
K-Dot.same w/ pc
.nastyGuessing you haven't skied Alta, side stepping is much more common than anywhere else. The only bootpacks go up Baldy or occasionally sugarloaf if they actually open it.
