CatdickBojanglesThat is the least descriptive marketing. Dimensions and that’s about it. What is so special about them? Sorry I am out of the loop on this company.
Yep I agree...I'm still stoked on the new product, but I definitely wouldn't wanna buy a ski without knowing the flex pattern and rocker profile.
Idk, they're just the newest grassroots jib ski company, maybe the next Vishnu. They've got a bit of hype going on but like you said, we don't know a lot
EDIT: this is why they have hype

Weren't the most recent ninthwards (the white ones that scrappy joe and jake carney skied) made in the never summer factory? pretty sure they had a very similar shape.

Same thing came to my mind, the shape looks to be the same as the 180cm ninthwards. And yes the small batch of 'new' ninthwards were made at NS. I suspect the specs listed on the ninthward site are for the 170cm size, and the specs on the jetskis is for the 180cm.

dope, it does seem like the ninthwards were a touch skinnier. Either way never summer makes sick ass park skis. Never been the stiffest option, but super buttery and decent durability.

aight so will the Jet rocker profile probably look like this?

Nah I think those are the ones made in utah. There was a couple batches after the never summer ones that were pressed in salt lake. The never summers had a more subtle rocker profile like an arv or a poacher.
from what I know, they're pressed by never summer. Have a similar layup and frankly shape as nomads but they're fully symmetrical and also softer. Progressive rocker, nothing too insane but for sure is there, and most likely will be semi bomber. could be some traction starting here too given that they're US made and the "underground" ski companies usually come in strong with some hype.
Haven’t ridden them personally but the flex and profile is likely close to Icelantics. Big difference is that they’re not directional. Icelantics are really fun jib skis so I’d imagine these skis are really fun too.
The only thing I don’t dig about em is the image/marketing. I mean, I love the website design and the downloadable file with a bunch of edits. But the brand is riding the “core” image too hard imo- trying to be cool with nothing to show yet.
Curious how it’ll play out though, I always get excited when a new ski brand pops up. Maybe they’ll make some cool movies. Maybe they’ll give back to the community more than other brands. I can’t give a full opinion on them yet, time will tell.
I see:
length
width’s
core material
Price
rocker profile
Like how is that not enough info for you? Who tf cares about the exact rocker profile or flex??
it’s a pair of skis dawg just strap em to your feet and ride them- it isn’t that deep.
No flex pattern listed which is important for a jib ski, and "rocker-camber-rocker" describes literally 95% of skis on the market today. We could stand to see some profile images

i agree with this.
If a company doesnt post what theyre using for the layup, its an automatic no from me. What edges are they using? what series of base? carbon layup? mount point? No turn radius?

These brands are not aimed at people who care about any of that stuff. They're aimed at kids who ski pow in tracksuits.

True, but how are they supposed to differentiate themselves from the competition if they don't show that their skis are a unique shape/flex?
Like what's there to convince those kids to buy Jet instead of Vishnu, ON3P, Line, or even K2

Poplar cores are on the lighter/ flexy side of the spectrum for wood cores- right off the bat we can assume they will have a looser flex profile.
rocker in tip and tail with camber underfoot makes me think these will have a sturdy midsection with a looser tip and tail.
Some of you “gear heads” really suck at piecing info together. It’s all right there on the site- if you want exact specs and paragraph descriptions go read a freeskier magazine buyers guide ffs.

Theyre a park ski, ive ridden quite a few in my lifetime and ive never really felt a difference between any of them wothout purposefully trying to differentiate. Id probably buy these because theyre pretty cheap, symetrical, and they have a really dank team. These clearly arent marketed at gear nerds who ski once a year

valid.
All im saying is that a shady website/advertisement along with a brand 99% of people havent heard of, will likely produce a janky product. Who knows, the skis might be killer.

Bruh, anyone could have expected that they would have soft tips and tails with a stiffer underfoot section. 90% of freestyle skis are like that. The main important thing to know is how much tip and tail rocker they have and if they are very flexy, moderately flexy, etc. The reason I care so much is because the flex and profile of Vishnus is what makes them completely unique as a jib ski. What's gonna make these unique or interesting?

This comes across way more snarky than it needed to. I don't know anything about Jet Skis product-wise, they could well rip. I live in Europe and doubt I'll see a pair any time soon. Vishnus are pretty perfect for their target audience, I really liked them when I skied them. My point, badly made, is that the (initial) target audience of a brand like Jet isn't going to be people who think too much about the minutiae of their gear. I'd love to get one of our reviewers on a pair if they want to do that, but again, that probably isn't exactly their target market.

the lowkey kinda people who
1. aren’t clout chasers on the gram
2. Don’t get their dick hard over likes on their edits
3. Don’t put out the most basic, bland content with the same tricks over and over again with shitty pop-trap music
are the ones who know the most about producing a good product and maintaining the hype of an underground brand/product.
