my skis are 172cm and i’m almost 5’ 10” rn. and on my helmet i have a ns sticker a casey willax sticker, a go pro, and a wu tang , there all die cuts so what’s wrong? that picture is old so it has a level 1 and a ski the east

I’m just not a big fan of helmet stickers but it’s whatever. I think if you wanna maximize how good your full kit looks you should size up skis by a decent amount, cause short skis aren’t the move and just look bad. I’m 5 7 on 183s and I think they’re not big enough lmao. I know some people shorter than me who are also on 183 and up and it makes their style way more dank than if they were riding 170 ski blades.

geez well next time i get skis i’ll get 180 somethings and that might be next year bc i’m gonna be like 6’ 4” and i’m 5’ 9.5” now

The problem with skis these days is that the ones you can actually buy are all waaaay too short
Lately NS has had this thing where everyone posts their new skis or kits without any actual pics of them and I honestly don’t get it hahaha. Especially the ones about getting new skis and its just a stock image or something lol

I agree that short skis aren't the one but I also don't get the whole vibe of riding skis that much bigger than you are, unless you're a downhill skier or "big mountain" guy. I'm 5'6" (168cm) and ride 172 for resort/park & 176 for powder (tip to tail tape pull, Blister style) and have never felt the need to go any bigger. Just feels like it would be less fun to me?
Maybe I'm just scarred from the days when I started learning and the standard was to put your arm in the air above your head and that was the length of ski you got... thanks Euro ski school!

Kidding aside you do you man, if you enjoy that more power to you, I just think there's a whole lot of dick swinging to be the guy with the biggest skis going on when a lot of people would be having a better time on skis that aren't 20cm taller than they are.

I used to have some 155s in 85mm waist and they skied well. 185s ski better
