Best Outerwear Company now a days

What’s the best outerwear company these days? Was always a big fan of saga growing up but I’ve heard they’ve gone downhill. Any suggestions? Planning on getting some new bib pants.

Here come the down votes but I personally still like saga. Ordered multiple suits from them the last couple years. Never had durability issues with mine. Stoked on my 3L set up from them this year. Is it the best? No probably not. But when you can pick up bibs and a jacket for a 1/3 of the price of just a jacket from other companies it makes it all the better.

Saga hasn't gone downhill at all. They had their warehouse broken into, and orders were delayed, but the quality has stayed the same (or even has gone up) in recent years.

Other good brands are: Flylow, Trew, Arcteryx, Patagonia, NWT3K, Dakine

If you are looking at Bibs, the Flylow Baker bib is extremely durable, and Trew has a few good bibs. I'm a huge fan of the Dakine Stoker 3L bibs, and NWT3K makes some great stuff (or so I hear). I'm broke so I don't have enough experience with Arcteryx and Patagonia, but Arcteryx is probably some of the nicest gear you can find ngl.

Not a big fan of their more recent drops/colorways/designs, but I’ve had three armada jackets and have loved them. Older styles I think were more “cool” looking, always quality and warm. Can’t speak on newer models.

Just picked up an older style “fuze” model in black/silver and it’s one of the best looking jackets I’ve seen/had. As always, need to have the wrist gator and all I’ve had from Armada have had them. Only have had Armada jackets so can’t speak on other brands.

Yeah then he posted a pic of himself taking a shit in like a pristine alpine lake. Was facing charges last I heard. Like wtf is wrong with him I don’t get the marketing on that one.

I have their whole purple suit now and I can confirm it is pretty fucking sick. Can't comment on durability since I've only worn it once so far, but it seems really solid.

Bruh how does this get downvoted, I'm guessing bc Virtika and the whole thing with Lesh, but personally I still really like their outerwear.

Regardless, Bloom is a super great company that kinda fell off the map and Fasq outerwear is by far the most underrated out there that not many people know about. Their stuff fits tall and is super quality made.

Dakine is always killer. We always do well with them! Their quality is some of the most consistent I've ever seen considering how long they've been around.

My personal favorite is Armada, it has always just been the exact cut I want, every single year.

Dakine makes super quality stuff that generally flies under the radar, 100% agree. Armada was making dope shit but I’m a bit disappointed by this years lack of options, still looks great though.

Have loved my armada jackets. Durable, warm, good style and fit. I agree with recent years the lack of options and colorways seem boring. Older styles were rad from 2012 to a few years back

honestly TNF has never disappointed. Modestly priced (for the most part) and pretty much all the stuff I've had from them is still in good shape.

When I was growing up it was like only ski patrollers and hardcore mountaineers had North Face. In the last 20 years or whatever they have definitely moved into more of a fashion brand, probably been bought and sold a couple times and outsourced who knows. But honestly I have to agree I’ve had some ski pants, handful of rain shells and countless fleeces from them and they are all great. 🤷‍♂️
