I find it hard to believe everyone In America can be designated as either a Trump or Biden Supporter. It makes much more sense to say that the majority of the nation find themselves somewhere in between
As a community where are we at? I find myself siding with one over the other because I feel like the opposing candidate is out to attack my core beliefs and community.. im sure those on the side feel the same way. Do yall relate?
If we could get beyond parties and vote for people based on their platform instead of an r or d next to their name that would be dope. Also dope in congress when everyone blocks things from the other party, and votes for dumb shit because their party is doing it. Get's a lot accomplished.
A lot of people really loved trump. Some people really got into biden. I know a lot of people voted for biden because it wasn't trump. Honestly a good chunk of the country votes for whoever their party backs.
Fuck the reps let's get some dems in there. Fuck the dems lets get some reps in there. People cheering every time their side wins, and melting down every time their side loses. They shouldn't even bother to waste money on campaigning. Just save us the effort, have the parties chose somebody, and we can all go and vote for our side.
Definitely somewhere in the middle, I absolutely fucking despise trump, but I also don't like Biden, I believe that idolizing politicians is kinda fucked. I wouldn't call myself a socialist but I agree with some socialist leaning policy, a governments job is to take care of the people and make sure they have health care and a place to live at the bare minimum. doesn't mean the governments gonna make you live in a camp, or take away your any of your freedoms, its still America, socialist or not, nothing can really take that away, we just gotta love each other and take care of our fellow free fuckin Americans
If libertarian candidates like JoJo got real media coverage and they had enough campaigning money to get more reach, I think a lot of people would like them, if they could get past the blindness incurred by the two party system. My ideal america is one with a completely free market, with gay, black, latino, white etc can all enjoy economic and social freedom while protecting their property with ar15s and sawed off shottys. Less gun control, more liberty of the people. Also abolish the fuck outta the ATF fuck those dudes.
I’m pretty “far left” tbh but every now and then I find myself on the Republican’s side. Its stupid and arrogant to say that your side is 100% correct on every issue every time.
I think people tend to mix up wanting their side to win really bad for going to the far extreme of that wing. For example, no progress on income inequality fuels the rise of socialism. I think if there was some progress on getting some buying power back for the working class Bernie would still be considered fringe and the Dems would still be a center left party. Doesn’t necessarily mean that many people actually want a government takeover of the economy they are just super frustrated with getting nothing so their politics tends to radicalize out of frustration.
CLQBiden is basically a republican from 15 years ago if you look at his policies. He is not far left lol
These right here. The Overton window has marched way right over the past 40 years. Trump is the epitome of the modern conservative movement and Biden is a corporatist. I think corporations have taken advantage of workers for a long time and people are starting to wake up. Newsflash, trickle down economics don't work. For fucks sake corps have legalized corruption through lobbying. Neither Trump nor Biden represent any real change to the system and ardent supporters of both are bootlickers. I voted Biden because I think if people make enough noise then his cabinet will listen that and enact some changes. Gonna be interesting to see where the GOP goes after this.

JoJo is great. Woulda voted for her if Idaho's absentee ballot system wasn't fucked up.

Many times liberty for some people takes liberty away from others. A completely free market system is skewed by negative externalities, like pollution, making it inefficient (market failure). We definitely need some regulation so that oil refineries aren't freely dumping their waste in the river, and so that mines in Alaska don't contaminate the world's primary salmon breeding grounds.
In addition, for a functioning free market we need roads and schools, and I think having police is better than needing to protect yourself with ar15s and sawed off shottys. I fail to see the appeal.

Idk the people who wanna get rid of my ar15s are also the ones who wanna get rid of the cops. So I'll just keep my guns as an insurance policy. Somehow I have several "assault rifles" and yet I've never shot anybody... Amazing isn't it.

I think he is saying if you eliminated all regulation and got rid of the police your own self defense would be the only means of keeping order. Kind of hard to run a profitable business during an anarchist war over resources.
I don't understand why so many people assume your "a liberal " or "far left" etc just because you pick the more qualified candidate that happens to be democrat and vice versa. Is it just an opportunity to be prejudice or what?
I'm pretty libertarian / classical liberal myself which dosen't realy land on the left/right spectrum. Third parties like the libertarian party can't really exist or be serious parties with a First Past The Post voting system in play. If we really want to get rid of the two part system, we need to change are voting system.
