animatorIm gonna go out on a limb here and say that full face helmets belong in like motorsports. Why would you wanna wear one when youre skiing?
Bended_ToenailI think it has something to do with warmth, and some jerries think it looks cool. It's a waste of money imo
cydwhitIf you're not Seth Morrison you probably shouldn't wear a full face.
BigPurpleSkiSuitPOC makes full faces, but you have to be the gnarliest big mountain sender to pull them off. There are two people I know of on the planet who can wear these and not look like jerries.

larilinesignI think some people want more protection cuz they're "forehead faller-onners" and some people just think they look cool.

Just get one of these
larilinesignHad to get one of these for a longboarding thing... still deciding if I want to wear it on the ski hill.
On one hand, when I'm tucking out a downhill section, my face gets pretty bashed when I get bucked forward off the board...
On the other hand, looks kooky... but not even really that different from goggles/buff
No.QuarterAfter all the times I've heard of people bashing their face on their knees on a shitty cliff landing I'm surprised full face helmets aren't more common
BiffbarfIf you could ski in that all day without it getting fogged up nearly instantly I'd give you the most crisp of high-fives

larilinesignNow I'm forever watching for knee-face smashes in films lol
Skiblade420How could you stand wearing that

SofaKingSicki agree, that shit is really common especially if you're trying to stomp (as opposed to tubbing the landing)
i'm actually a little surprised it's not more common for freeride helmets to have that single bar option that some racers use. seems like a good compromise
BigPurpleSkiSuitThe alternative on a longboard slam is often rip your face up so this is preferable

mrk127I don't think you realize that most chinbars don't do shit for hitting snow, rocks, or trees with your face. They are only for protecting you from gates, which as @abar. said is some pussy shit
goatmasterI had a Ruroc years ago, and I liked it for about a month and got board of it. It was nice when being towed behind a snowmobile, but the rest of the time I just looked funny and was really hot and couldn't breathe well. I never hit my face in a way that it would have been helpful. The day I got a normal helmet my ski popped off in the park and hit me in the face and I cut my face. Lol
