Salomon has like zero freestyle athletes if this is true. I guess there’s a few left but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them leave. Salomon hasn’t created a park ski that isn’t a reskinned dumont in years.

Woodsy basically grew up with the line UK team manager, and planks (woodsys outerwear sponsor, if you didn’t know) and line UK have strong links and plenty overlapping riders so whether he’s on a pair between sponsors or now riding for line, it makes sense.

Yeah, we were told by Salomon that for 20/21 the NFX "would only be carried in very select markets." Seems like they're just fully ditching the freestyle category. Guess I finally need to give up on them bringing back the Rocker2 100.

That’s a bummer for him, I’m sure the Salomon check is much bigger...

line probably gives him a lot more opportunity to be involved in the scene though seeing Salomon hasn’t been active in free skiing for years. Can’t blame him regardless.

I was just gonna say this, the old rocker2 series were so fun 😭 Salomon really missing a big chunk of the market by not making a twin anymore. Even Rossi only having the gamer and the holy shred (terrible names IMO) as their only real twins is super disappointing. The Sender is such a fun ski at 104mm, if there was a twin version id be all over it

Isn’t it funny how Solomon and K2 almost put Line out of business and now K2 owns Line and Solomon quit making freestyle skis.

I'm not an expert on this but I'm pretty sure that's not how it works, I think every athlete is offered a different deal and they're all negotiated independently. LSM is probs getting $$$ that used to go to pollard, whereas woodsy appeals to a totally different demographic.

yeah but why would line wait until mid way through the season to announce a sponsorship when woodsy has been riding their skis for months
