Ski size questions

190 does not seem too long at all. In your post you claim to be 200lbs so you should be good to go.

Where does CT mount his? I would find out and then measure it myself instead trusting the mark on the ski

FWIW I'm 6'0 180lb and have a pair of 188 2.0s that are fun for high-speed charging and stability but are a bit tough to manage in moguls/trees for east coast skiing, picked up a pair of 183 prodigy 2.0s for daily drivers this year. I mounted mine at the candide line (-1.5 i think?) and they feel well balanced for park and all-mtn.

you'd be fine but it seems like overkill for east coast. i so rarely feel a want or need to pull out my ~110 waist charging skis on the east, the conditions and zones unfortunately just aren't suited to that very often

it will work totally fine if that's the kind of skiing you want to do. but for "screwing around vermont mountains" it's not the ski that comes to mind. also remember they (taller than you and somewhat stiff) are going to feel a lot longer than your blends (shorter than you and super soft). again, not necessarily a bad thing, just make sure that's what you want

The Blends are super soft and they come up short. If you're 200lbs I'm not surprised those feel damn short and noodly. A Candide 3.0 190cm seems like it'd probably be swinging too far in the other direction for the east coast but it's not my area of expertise. Center mounting a ski like that also seems a bit pointless. I'd probably go low-mid 180s and just aim for a stiffer ski. Something like the 3.0 could work but it seems unnecessarily wide for the East, the 2.0 would probably be better and the new one is stiff as fuck too.

I wouldn't go with a 110 underfoot ski for EC, probably more between 90-100 for that. I've heard good stuff in regards to the new ARV being more of a stiffer all mountain ski that still has jib capabilities. That might be good in a 96 or 106 for you.
