Which turned up nothing, except that the guy pushing those cases was actually committing the crime. Woopsie. Go home commie. r00kieWhile diet exercise and all that can go a long way depression, bi-polar, etc. are illnesses just like the flu or something. Some folks genuinely need the help. Should the meds be an option reserved for those who have tried what you suggested already? Absolutely. But to call those who need them a pussy is inconsiderate of their situation.


I have prodromal schizophrenia (which is worse than anxiety, depression etc) yet I am more successful than 99% of people in the western world and have always took my own advice of picking myself up by the heels. No excuses.

The coffee was estimated to be 180-190f and caused 3rd degree burns that required surgery. The lady didn’t want to sue but McDonalds refused to cover her medical bills so she had no choice.

I do agree however, that the Unites States has a lawsuit culture.

If I recall she sued only to cover her medical expenses but she was granted punitive damages by the judge in order to punish McDonalds for their conduct. I hate how people bring this up not knowing the full context the basically forced her to file suit.

Yeah the way hot coffee was remembered was pretty wrong.

Also we dont have a lawsuit culture. We have a lack of health care culture. A lot of suits about injuries, work comp stuff, just comes down to medical bills. Sure some people get sendy but i don't think it would be that bad. That said you do kind of have to sue somebody to make things change almost in this country. Especially with corporations.

There's no incentive not to cut costs if $$$ is all that matters. Too often fines if a company gets caught being shitty are still a savings. Idk im rambling but US healthcare system is whack and the people that say it's the best are total kooks.

I think you should be given alot of credit by doing your mental health the badass old fashion way, but i think some people really need medication in their lives in order to function/stay alive.

Alot of good people end up committing suicide in this world, and the saddest part is that many of them might have stayed alive if they were on the right meds.

So yeah i think its very cool you did it the bamf way, but cut people some slack for pussing out. If not for their sake then for the sake of the people who love them. Theres no reason to go through life miserable when theres many drugs out there which can help you.

I don't really understand the "well i did it without meds" angle. If you did, great. If you need the meds great.

Do whatever works but it def benefits a lot of people. If you think its overprescribed that's one thing but shouldn't come out that hot against them imo.

I remember a woman, i think maybe congress or something from Connecticut that was trying to roast people who wanted legal med weed for cancer "because she had cancer and didn't need drugs".

Like fuck that. You don't want people to be able to choose to use something that would greatly benefit them because your rigid and illogical and think drugs are bad?

Idk people should do whatever works for them and we need to invest in our mental health care in America. Our health care system is pathetic.
