Good touring ski?

Looking to upgrade my quiver of a one ski quiver to a two ski quiver (mainly because i saw the quiver thread and got jealous). I was looking at the Moment Deathwish tour and the Wildcat tour, thoughts on those?

What are you looking for in a ski? Height, ability and budget are also helpful.

Also get something from past seasons. As touring skis are no exception: the new top sheet is not worth the extra buck.

Also binding is key. 100 % go for pin binding if you want to get seriously into touring. Pricey but great - for example - the ATK freeraider 12/14. If you do mainly short skins with lift support, definitely not worth the additional boot.

I personally don't know the two you mentioned but I ski the following and can recommend.

Völkl VTA 108. if you can get it cheap somewhere (and you usually can) this is one of the lightest (at that width) but still fast charging skis you can get at that price range. but definitely not most trick friendly :)

On the narrower side Black crows navis freebird, great but expensive.

And dont forget to to some avy training :)

Both can be excellent "do everything" touring skis depending on where you plan on touring at. As said above, height / weight / skier ability / location are all super helpful, as well as what you're skiing on in the resort / other skis you've enjoyed in the past.
