Why are men so threatened by Sierra?

Okay NS. Please settle this for me... Why do male skiers seem to have so much hate in their souls for Sierra Quitiquit? I really don't understand why they feel so strongly about her when she is simply doing her own thing? I have seen so many bash her in comments over the years and would love to know what the root of this is.

I watched her documentary a few years back and she has been through so much. Seems like a great person, and she's a solid skier. Am I missing something? Because it feels like a very one-sided argument

To me its because I cant get over the fact that her last name is Quitiquit. That is a fake name. I dont even care if its actually her real name and theres a long line of Quitiquits going back centuries... its definitely made up.

TOAST.I think the mods should move this helicopter thread to NSG.

To keep helicopters skiing related, I remember way back when I was first learning 360s my dad and his friends always called them helicopters. I don't think I've ever heard someone under the age of 40 call it a helicopter lmao

This teacher that woukd chaperone and ski with us had them helicopters. I remember skiing with him and him hitting this cut up and doing ine and I was like Omg omg omg this is amazing, i need to learn this.

Now 23 years later I'm on that snkw life for work and fun and can barely afford groceries. What an asshole!

But really that guys the fucking man. At a mtn where you never saw any tricks back in the day it blew my mind. Everything has changed but the mkst important thing is that skiing is still fun.

ConesForBreakfastBut helicopters as a unit cost a lot more than an airplane of equivalent efficiency. Both up front and for maintenance. Also, I would expect paying for pilots is more expensive because there are fewer and more difficult (just speculating here).


I was solely commenting on the basis of fuel burn, not overall costs.
