cydwhitYeah, as Weaz said, that name is taken. It's bad enough when the big brands take names the indies are already using (looking at you Elan) but a smaller brand like Surface should be able to google "Cleaver Ski" and see that there's an established model and come up with a different name.
Graphic is fine, shape looks like the old G3 Synase which was an... odd... ski.

cobra_commanderI could totally see someone forgetting which completely irrelevant and forgetao ski company’s cleaver they were talking about.
I’m pretty aware of the Indy ski brand scene and honestly had no clue either were still producing skis.
cydwhitYeah, I’m not saying they should have known off the top of their head, but part of naming any product is doing due diligence. It’s not like it’s that obscure, the FWT was won on it last year, and again, the most perfunctory of Googles brings up a bunch of results.

.nastyI never see anyone skiing Surface especially, except for a local influencer around here who got a free pair haha. Even when I lived in UT for a year and the week long trip I took there last week, didn't ever see a single pair.
Mr_pretzelNo 192 BO118 in the catalog, but wouldn’t be the first time rossi doesnt include something.
I’m super excited if thats actually true
patagonialukeThey said they just started making protos of the 192 118 this season, so I think it was a late addition and might be a similar release to what they did with the Sender Squad this past year. They said the 192 118 is what Pehota's been on this year, along with a 194 BO110.

TheWeazYou all do realize that what makes the black ops actually sick is that its heavy right?
theres countless other twin tips made by other companies that are lighter, I don’t need or want more skis that suck in variable conditions.

soupThat's the whole marketing behind that ski. Black ops. Secrecy. Ooooooooh.
Seriously though a 192 of that ski is the answer for sure. Hope they shave some weight out of those monsters as well

pinkcamo1000fuck light skis
soupWell that's just like you're opinion man.
I think they'd be a better boat anchor than strapped to my feet.

SendyMcSendyfacewell fuck me sideways, now i've gotta decide between these and a new gun
highpeakAgreed on the heavier skis chain. Touring wise im all for shaving weight but in bounds you need that weight to blast through stuff. Shaving weight would lower one of the black ops best characteristics: chop destroying
mystery3That ski has sooooo much taper, even more than the synapse I think. Are there any skis with more taper?
SavageBiffAgreed and well said, I hate it when people complain about ski weight, if it’s too heavy then it’s not for you go buy a noodle, don’t mess with our 190+ skis, truly damp skis or chargers, it’s so hard to find good 190+ skis and some of us are always asking for companies to increase length, dampness etc, we don’t need any1 complaining, as I already said there’s a lightweight noodle for you bambis out there
soupLight doesn't mean soft. Ride whitewalkers. Or hojis. Or ravens. All stiff. All light.
Mr_pretzeland are all terrible in variable snow.
Heavy skis have their place, light skis have their place.
The BO118 is cool because it is heavy and has a playful shape.
soupYes sorry I'm not arguing with anyone I'm just joking around in the end. Skis are so personal i could care less if people want to shred heavy or light or soft or stiff skis for any reason. It's all good.
