weastcoastAyo Utah locals what’s more worth it for park riding, a pass for btown or pc?
PC has a superior park when it comes down to it but Brighton's is by no means bad. I say this as someone who's owned both for multiple seasons and now won't ever go back to PC because the vibes are off, the all mountain skiing is eh, the snow is far worse and yellow jackets. I could keep going but Brighton just feels like home to me and the park is great for the kind of park skiing I like. Both are great, you can't really go wrong. If you can I'd say try both but if not just go pc if you're just visiting, there's a reason why it has the hype it has in park skiing. If you're here for a season and trying to make friends I personally feel like Brighton is way better when it comes to community and not being filled with entitled little park rats

As its been said, PC has the superior park. Brighton definitely seems to have more homies, but don't let people tell you there are no homies at PC, ive been skiing PC every year since I moved to utah (13 years now) and its true, less and less homies ski at PC. If you like jumps, PC is the place, if you're cool with hitting 20ft jumps and tons of rails, Brighton is the spot.
Option C is woodward, they put together a pretty decent park last spring, not sure if they will have a good park before then, but its cheap and close to SLC with night skiing too.
Also, yellowjackets don't really exists at PC anymore and the park has its own chairlift next to a parking lot, so you don't really have to ski the mountain to ski the park.
Is it really park skiing if you don't have to escape the ski police after landing a steezy 3 off a sidebooter that gave his wife the WAP for the first time in 8 years?

LOL maybe you haven't actually had to deal with yellow jacket type people, PC used to do what vail does now but with ski patrol, it might be a quintessential identity for park skiing, but in the end its just annoying.
I do miss skiing a run to/from a park like we used to on King Crown or Jonesys, but having a park lift is also great because it never gets that busy, bonanza and pay day always have big lines

My back says otherwise. I think it's from football and just being a tall human. This summer I've had some real bad lower back pain that I don't want to make worse. It's a bulging disc and I can't even squat weight anymore at the gym, I have to learn pistol squats.

Honestly yeah, the Speed Police were kind of an issue at the start of the season only because of early season conditions and ski team kids ripping around EVERYWHERE and airing anything out, so that was a bit of a problem, but once we got our upper mtn terrain more open, they left us alone, and patrol never really bothered us with jump building just as long as we throw bamboo on the lips. Theres a sweet booter below Blueslip that we always hit and patrol/speed patrol sometimes stop to chill and watch haha. Theyve honestly been pretty chill with the ski team as long as kids dont get lippy.

I'm also a tall guy I used to have back pain all the time until I switched to a super firm bed (it's literally a 3-inch thick pad on the floor not even really a bed). Now I almost never have back pain and I work as a stone mason
