I think the idea of ignorant style is that a skier or skateboarder with ignorant style makes the trick/landing look so original and easy for them that they seem to be both:
A. Ignorant of how how hard the trick they just landed is for most people, because they made the landing look easy and effortless and rode away in a “nothing to see here” sort of way.
and,
B. Ignorant of what proper trendy style is supposed to look like, as if they had never watched a single ski video in their lives so the originality of their style is virgin and uncorrupted; they are also ignorant of how awesome their style is, which feeds into the awesomeness of their style in a turbocharging positive feedback type of way.
