also would like to hear what kind of ski racks you have and any other ski related accessories (ie tunnel bags for boots)

Just sold my 16 xm. Going to be away working all winter so won't be getting another one but really excit d to try them all. Ridden both the patriot and the gen 4 but haven't had a ride on the alpha yet.
Go with a mo pros rack dude. Solid build, great components, and hold up. I've only had cfr and am so tired of paying $800 for a setup that shits the bed in three seasons.
Just picked up a 2020 SKS 850 155, should be a riot to ride. Upgrading from a 2010 rmk 600 haha. I'm planning on running just a generic harbor freight hard case with carriage bolts to hold it in place using the grooves on the tunnel. My dad did it on his 2016 rmk and it worked great. Silicone the shit out of where the bolts go thru the case and everything stays bone dry in there. I'll see if I can find a picture of his old rmk with the case on it.

I work at a Polaris dealer out her in Montana, we pretty much exclusively sell the RMK line, with the exception of a few voyager utility sleds for the all the ranchers out here. So I'm not very familiar with the switchback models. Good on you for going with the longest possible track on it tho, hopefully this season will be deep enough for you to see a decent amount of pow on er. I assume you use the sled for both fuckin around and ski access?
What do you with boots do for sled skiing? I destroyed my boot soles on sleds last year. This year I'm trying out wearing snowboard boots with my ski liners then putting on my shells when its time to ski...haven't figured out how to keep my shells warm tho. No way I'm shelling out for a mopros rack+bag yet

I strap a boot bag (old used one) to my sled and put rechargeable hand warmers in my boots. Not the greatest system but it's been okay.

It's the only way. Sledding in ski boots is the worst and absolutely sketchy. Gotta rock the boot bag it's the only way. I never needed the boot warmers but I've had friends not be able to get into boots for a while. Firing up the sled and dumping exhaust into them to try and unthaw stuff ass lange boots.
