Looking for people to pre season with in Oregon

Ok I know there isn't snow yet but we all know it's coming soon. Im feining for some pre season, just moved to Bend this summer and don't really know many people here, really just looking to find some people who will let me hit their rail when the time comes, I'll carry the godamn thing for miles if I have to, anyone in Oregon planning on shredding some preseason pvc hear my cries

Gypsy was sick on Saturday, but it sounds like Tline is cracking down on it this year. If you get caught jibbing back there by the wrong person they’ll suspend your pass for 1-2 weeks (if you have one). We got a friendly warning.

Too bad Tline can’t embrace the preseason like Bachy does. It’s probably a moot point anyway with all this snow coming through.

Went up today and basically turned around. It was absolutely dumping, up to my knees in certain spots. Saw some of the boys skiing down into Govy and then taking the bus back up, definitely woulda been the move. I'm betting chairs spinning by this weekend tbh. If not, then next week. I saw a piston bully/groomer driving off the lot as well. Roads were no Bueno. So much fresh pow up there.

Things may not be opening until sometime after Dec 2nd with the new state restrictions. Might be a long pre-season.

Yikes. I originally was getting in to the backcountry this year just cuz I wanted to ski backcountry and not because I thought the resorts would close but now I'm worried I'll be doing a lot more than I planned

The governor restricting skiing/other outdoor rec doesn't make any sense. Shit was open all summer. Some bullshit, it's so easy to "social distance" and everyone's wearing masks already anyways, it's cold. Whatever, there's enough snow for a preview day I just don't think resorts care enough to try and have one. They're feeling a lot of pressure from all sides as it is.

Hiked the cone this morning and comfortably skied args honestly one of the best laps I've had at Bachelor. Going to forsure be doing a lot of touring to take advantage of this fucked amount of snow we will get from La Nina, anyone who wants to go build booters or rip some pow let me know

Ski "resorts" should remain open albeit with many restrictions. I am planing on skiing Bachelor as much as possible.

Gf & I went up to tline and skiied a couple laps of lodge to bottom of lifts. It was nice. Lots of people went up higher but the vis looked shit so we enjoyed the mellow creamy snow. There were also lots of people shuttling timberline to govy laps.

Careful driving up there it seemed there were a lot of people stuck/sliding in the parking lot so I imagine they were scary on the roads.

It's 6 miles all down hill, its groomed 1 or twice a year but the trail is easy to find and follow either way.

Agreed. Pretty bummed we don't get to go up on Friday after thanksgiving.

Rip. Probs gonna be doing timberline to town all Thanksgiving weekend. Don't have my fusion pass (yet, hopefully will get one through work) and I'm not planning on dropping a shit ton of $$ on day passes let alone try to make reservations during Thanksgiving weekend.

Haven't actually skied all the way to Govy from Tline at this point, I'll try and find the Alpine trail, sounds awesome, I didn't know it was groomed. If anyone with a Meadows pass has free-time and wants to do the same or just ride Gypsy island Thanksgiving weekend lemme know I'll be there Fri-Sun.

Also does anyone know if the landing strip/trillium lake road is open in the winter time? There's a shit ton of camping spots up in Govy I know but I was just wondering if that road is actually open in the winter season.

Bachelor decided to push back 2 weeks months ago so they could open all base areas to spread people out, yet we just got a storm with as much snow as the whole month of December and could easily open all base areas right now

Alpine trail is right off Kruiser on Norm and ends at the top of Summit ski area.

Airstrip/Trillium is closed in the winter but the parking lot before the gate is open and allows overnight parking on one side of the lot (look for signage).
