Pretty sure this is no different then any year. It’s always a shit show in October with a bunch of Jerry’s showing up looking for shit they order three weeks ago. Meanwhile there is a pile of ski academy and race and Freeride stuff that has been order for months and all of that has to get mounted and shipped all over hell and back to camps and schools and everywhere else. But you are right. The shops should drop everything to sell Timmy his first backcountry set up because the 11 pairs of skis Johnny buys every year are way less important.
