Roommate moans when he plays video games

I'm living in college dorms at the moment and my roommate is one of the most annoying people I have ever met. I probably think this just cuz i have to spend an inordinate amount of time with him, especially since school is fully online right now. I randomly got paired up with him cuz i didn't go through the process of picking a roommate, and I regret that rn. Just now, I was trying to watch the "Collage" movie that a bozeman crew put out when he comes in and starts explaining how his dad has been a fan of the steelers since he was a kid, and then just starts naming of random facts about the steelers with no goddamn context. Now hes sitting at his desk playing Days Gone and straight up moaning. The dude isn't even doing it quietly, its loud as fuck to the point where I can here it outside our room. I've tried to record him doing it so that I can prove to my friends back home that he actually does moan while playing video games, but I always feel like hes gonna turn around and see it. It legitimately sounds like hes fucking his controller, and its 1 am and im tryna get some sleep.

call him out, but it could be worse.

i had a roomate who got hurt at his manual labor job and fell into a deep pit of booze and pills shortly after. Id be home on days off and he'd be getting up first thign in the AM to run to the liquor store, load up on booze, and yell at his TV/Computer all day and night. I came home to him having an intervention with his brother and friends in our living room, didn't see him for about 6 months after that until I went down to move all of my shit out of their place and I saw him. This guy was about 275lb when I first met him and fast foward to now, He's about 150lbs. Felt bad for him, but im glad he found his way at least.

Someone has to get stuck with the weird guy. I'm sorry Op. At my school there is a guy called the human vacuum. He just collects craps and never cleans. By senior year they just put the dude in the same room he's been making a mess out of but no roommate this year.

Dude right?? I had the option to do that but instead I decided to move to a ski town and do school online. Some other schools in my state are forcing first years to live on campus, what a scam.

Facts. Freshman roommate psychology says you will figure out each others class schedule and work in jerking off when they are across campus. As long as you stick to your routine your good but the one day class gets out 20 min early or something...

My brother's friend was in the dorms and the 3rd day of school he walked in on his roomate standing over the trash can jerking off into it. Kinda set a weird tone for them the rest of the year.

Trust me, with roomates you either work your shit out quick and maintain a relationship were you more or less put up with each other, or you let issues go and end up hating each other. Its real shitty to hate your months on end. Trust me though, if him making noises playing video games is the worst you have to deal with then your are pretty lucky.

The point is obvious. Money. The school (assuming msu) LOVES to take as much money from the students as possible to put into Crusado's >300k a year pocket. It's not just the students either, the professors and staff get fucked over too.

I mean, it would suck ass to do your freshman year of college at home. Freshman classes are bullshit lectures anyway and at least you can chill in the dorms and do other campus stuff. Assuming the campus is not totally shut down in which case it would be pointless as hell to be there. CU is really getting fucked by COVID this year, I feel bad for those kids.

Yea i agree, i"m just thinking about how much fucking money i spent on campus housing, and how i'd like to have that money back... especially if you're not getting the full college experience. I would never be able to spend all day in my room with my weird freshman roommate.

Yeah that would really suck. I read at CU they had an outbreak and the kids in the dorms literally could not congregate in the common areas or go into each others rooms. That shit would be like prison. At least you can still roll around campus or go hiking or something.

honestly you kinda have it spot on. Thank god for skating cuz I would be losing my mind if I couldn't get out of the dorms and go skating.
