Solid take and probably right. I can admit that blacks are definitely targeted more than whites, but the crime statistics by race properly correlates with this targeting, unfortunately. All i'm going to say.
.MASSHOLE.I may be wrong here, but I think it extends beyond the killing aspect of African-American and police relations. It has to do with the actual policing itself. African-Americans feel as if they're treated differently than Caucasians when dealing with the police. They may very well be right, I know there's data that supports this but there may be data that goes against it.
The killing of black men is just the straw that broke/continues to break the camels back for many.

It's a bit of a self fulfilling propecy though. If a demographic is targeted more, they will make up more of the crime stats meaning they will be targeted more and on it goes.
I'd be interested in seeing some statistics on crime calls or whatever. How many white people call police, how many non white people call police, for what reasons regarding what ethnicity. Probably an extremely difficult thing to provide statistics on though.
As a white man I've been arrested three times, One minor offense in college, One breach of peace after college, one big offense - interfering and assault on a police officer. Got slapped with a misdemeanor for that one thankfully. Easily could have been a felony. Thankfully I began cooperating once i was brought into the station. That definitely taught me not to drink and drive, or to drink too much in public. That's always how i get in trouble. That was some years ago, and I'm definitely cognizant when drinking now. I'll never want to deal with paying a lawyer, missing work for court ever again, that was punishment in itself. Another arrest and i'd probably do 30 days in county.
Needless to say I've learned my lesson, I pity people dying at the hands of police, but long time criminals like George Floyd with multiple felonies and a huge criminal record are going to get it at some point, you're playing with fire when you're consistently breaking the law. Cops are assholes, we all know that, the secret is to not be an asshole back. Stop breaking the law and people will stop being murdered by police.

There is data to suggest African Americans face more physical contact with police, as well as being more likely to be incarcerated (though prison populations have been evening out for years). There is absolutely no data to suggest systematic racism in the police force nor that you are more likely to be killed by police if you’re black.

I think they're just pointing out the hypocrisy of your past comments on how black people getting shot/dying during their encounters with police "deserved it" but you somehow not being deserving of the same fate when you assaulted an officer. They think it's ironic and worth pointing out.

If you actually looked at what I wrote, a single misdemeanor and a criminal whose done prison time and has multiple felonies are not the same thing. One is a long term criminal, one is a life lesson.

Again, the fact isn't inherently racist, I think hearing about it over and over gets a bit racist, nobody talks about how native Americans and Latinos have similar numbers, yet you only see the stereotype about African Americans, which makes it racist to me. Even if you don't think its racist (which is fine, I can see that side too, this has a couple of perspectives) its still a generalization to say that children with single parents are inherently bad.
Saying that the reason African Americans have a hard time in America is because they have more single family parents its just not true, systemic racism is the reason, which you could argue is why African Americans are more likely to be poor and maybe why they have more single parent families, but you can't ignore the core of the issue which is systemic racism in America, not because they don't have a dad.

There is a difference between identifying the root causes of racial disparity as a means toward solving them and using those same issues as a way to blame black people for their own problems in order to justify ones own indifference.

It was barely 60 years ago that Brown v. Board of Education ruled school segregation unconstitutional and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights Act of 1965 were passed.
Those events were momentous but they didn't end all those issues. For instance, there are schools that FINALLY desegregated just a few years ago.
Hell, the 15th Amendment was passed in the 1800s but Oregon only ratified it in 1959.
The Voting Rights Act still hasn't prevented voter discrimination either, despite it being ruled illegal. The Supreme Court struck down portions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in 2013 along party lines, which in turn allowed many southern states to put into place restrictive voting laws. One, in North Carolina was deemed illegal by the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, unanimously concluding that the law was racially discriminatory.
To think that the effects of systemic racism aren't still prevalent in society today is ignorant. Most of these major societal changes are barely a half century old.

The Mueller report didn't state there was no collusion, there were over 100 instances of Trump's campaign working with Russians. The report stated due to incompetence, it didn't rise to the level of criminal prosecution. Prove me wrong. The Mueller report clearly stated Trump obstructed justice on multiple occasions.

The reason different ethnicities have different avg levels of economic success in a meritocracy is more due to the fact that for thousands of years many pockets of human populations were extremely isolated from eachother which allowed substantial differences to be formed between different ethnicities that persist today.
different ethnicities have differences in avg height, avg strength, avg skin color, avg weight, avg shape and size of the skull, avg jaw strength, avg hip width, and many other traits. One of the most controversial things in the entire field of science is whether or not avg intelligence potential is another trait that can be added to the above list of traits that differ on avg between ethnicities. There is nobody who will argue that there arent gaps in avg iq scores of different ethnicities. They are simply there and we have to live with them. The question is whether or not these iq gaps are due to genetics (ethnicity) or systemic racism or a combination of the 2. Personally i dont think its reasonable to expect ethnic groups that had very different cultures and societies and climates and selection pressures for tens of thousands of years to magically develop/evolve the exact same potential for intelligence.
