His appeals toward populism were/are a desperate attempt to stay relevant. It would be an obvious joke to anyone actually paying attention. He was a hardcore NeoCon when it suited him back in the day, it’s just whatever he has to say to stay on TV is what he stands for.

Even if trump wasnt smart enough to make lots of money during his lifetime, you have to be really stupid to be able to listen to phonecalls and interviews trump had with cavuto and hannity going back from 2014 to before 2000 and not be able to realize his ideas about tradewars and deficits and the true nature of the us-china competitive friendship were very indicative of a high intelliegence.

Imo any news source that has no aired the Hunter Biden scandal is not trustworthy. There is too much talk on Russian disinformation and not enough talk about the actual content of the emails... There is no indication that the emails are fake, nor is there any indication that Russia provided them.

There might be some low grade influence peddling there, borderline unethical possibly mildly corrupt. Still doesn’t really hold a candle to the nepotism and corruption in the Trump administration. I think that is why it’s not a bigger deal.
