I have a few Apeman trail cams; seems to be an Amazon special but they have held up well over the last three years

Buy Moultrie. Or Browning. Do NOT buy Spypoint, under any circumstances. Stealthcam is also fairly crappy. Moultrie is absolutely the way to go. I run quite a few cams and so do my buddies. I own around a dozen. They're a lot of fun. Make certain you buy new so that you get the warranty.

Any particular model of these brands? Battery life with videos is a big factor because I'm planning on leaving them for a couple years

Yea, that’s not going to be a thing with any trail camera I’m aware of unless you get something with a solar panel

Storage is going to become an issue as wel

No camera is going to last on a single set of batteries for several years. Plus, what would be the point? When would you have time (or be interested) in going through literally hundreds of hours of video of mostly squirrels?

For the 2020 Moultrie cameras, I'd recommend the M-8000i. The i is for infrared which means no visible flash for night photos. I run my cameras on 3-shot burst and I usually get around a year out of a set of batteries. Stay away from the A-series (entry level) for best performance. The 2020 offerings are mostly sold out right now from Moultrie but 2021 models should be along shortly.
