2020 Presidential Debate Drinking (or smoking) Game

9PM EST no commercials, on nearly every channel. Let's gooooooood.

Warning: this may cause you to get alcohol poisoning or get wayy too high.

1 drink (or hit) every time:
-Trump says any of the words: huge, tremendous, incredible, stupid, loser, or winning. 2x multiplier if multiple used in same sentence.
-Trump calls someone a nickname he coined (e.g. Sleepy Joe, pocahontas, crooked Hillary, etc.)
-Biden studders
-Biden mentions Trump's taxes during an inappropriate category
-Black Lives Matter is mentioned

2 drinks (or hits) if:
-Trump says "believe me"
-Trump talks about how rich he is
-Trump says the phrase "fake news"
-Trump brings up Biden's son
-Someone shouts from the crowd
-Biden forgets his line
-The mediator laughs/chuckles at either candidate

3 drinks (or hits):
-If either candidate says "SCIENCE"
-If Trump mentions Putin, Kim, or Russia/North Korea in a positive light

Finish your drink (or do a gravity bong):
-If Trump mentions Hillary or her emails
-If Biden mentions Jeffrey Epstein
-If Biden makes a racist remark
-Fox News fact checks Trump or Biden to be incorrect
-Biden falls asleep
-Trump mentions "The Wall"
-If Trump denies climate change

Continuously chug your drink
-If a muted candidate talks while the other is speaking. Drink the entire duration that the interruption is occurring.

They're going to have a version of the Puppy Bowl. It'll be Donald Trump Jr. shooting rare species of puppies in a barrel. They couldn't realistically fit 20 puppies in a bowl so they went with the barrel. Close enough.

IMO there should be a bong onstage with some good gas (maybe some t?) and they should have to go rip for rip while debating. Would improve the quality of the conversation.

I think Donald Trump made the deliberate calculation that Biden would pick up points if the debate came down to a legitimate and respectable exchange of ideas about the record of the last 4 years. He said, I know I can’t really help myself, but I can at least get in the way of him helping himself. And that’s pretty much what you saw.

He def didnt think that far ahead, hes got something called narcissistic personality disorder and i know that because my dad has it and ive got a lot of issues with him but thats another story. He essentially just isnt socially capable which explains why he was constantly interrupting and insulting biden. However on the other hand, trump was being so loud that people didnt realize the dumb shit biden was saying like raising taxes on the rich are more important than preventing tax evasion. We honestly need a third party more than ever rn and thats why jorgensens got my support

I would say there are probably a lot of people trying to decide still, pretty normal to have a debate a couple weeks before the election. It is interesting that they waited so long for the debates, as people have been voting for weeks now.

Yea, i guess i make my mind up usually based on party...But I actually voted for Obama first time around LOL. it's just hard for me to imagine not knowing who i'm voting for 12 days before an election.

I think it still has implications and yeah somehow there are still people who are undecided or could change their vote if persuaded. Think about 2016. The trending Google search after the wikileaks email drop was "how do I change my vote". Performance in debates matters sometimes just as much as scandals. Trumps first performance hurt him. If Biden fucks up, he could lose some voters. Now is the opportunity for both parties to try and wrangle in some undecided or even independent voters. Considering those voters often can determine an election, it's still quite important.

The format updates should be helpful. We'll get at least 2 minutes from each candidate on each question. Should be able to get a lot more out of each canidat.
