Looking into either Mag 90s, 102s, or Jeffery 96s for this upcoming season.
I'd like to think of myself as a park skier, but in reality I probably spend at least 40% of my time commuting to and from the park and another 10% skiing knee deep when there's too much fluff over the park. Whether or not that's enough park time to warrant Magnus 90s, I'm not sure. I don't honestly care more about powder performance than park so i'm fine with the narrower waist.
The real question is, though, how fast can the 90s really go? Obviously the jeffery can handle higher speeds, but if I want optimal park performance (which is my priority) I would lean towards the 90s. But I don't want too much concession on those bomb runs to and from the park, either.
To those of you who have mag 90s (or 102s), just how fast can you push it? When is the breaking point compared to something like the Line Blend (my current ski)? And what kind of noticeable differences are there between the Jeffery and the Magnus, especially in terms of flex and weight?
I'm also open to arguments for the 102; I like the width of the blend but wanted to try something more responsive.
Thx folks
