Ive had pretty good results with a gummy stone but there was pretty minimal rusting. I guess technically anything abrasive should get it off but someone on here probs knows better than I do. My buddy bought used marksmans with some rust and we filed it a little which also worked good, if ur gonna use a file tho I suggest the finest one you have
definitely don't file it or anything. Just ski it, it'll probably be gone after one run. or take a wet paper towel and wipe it off. If neither of those work it might be time for a tune.

I just don't worry about it. Ski it and it'll be fine. I wouldn't rock much more than a gummy stone and try and wipe it off. If you use a file you're starting to sharpen that section of your edge.
Ive used scothbrite on edges before to clean it up and its worked quite great. (Its the rough side on a sponge). I typically have the bulk material lying around at work though
