Boot fitting

I live in a place with tons of options for buying ski boots and boot fitting. I have spent much of my ski career with boot related discomforts and have finally decided to go all in and fit a boot to my feet. Would places like REI offer boot fitting or am I out of luck?

I wouldn’t get fitted at rei, the staff isn’t very knowledgeable of ski gear from my experience. Go to a small local ski shop and support them instead if you are willing to pay full price for boots (which u should always)

Never been to REI for boot fittings but they’re famous for being incompetent.

I believe you are in the Seattle area which I’m not familiar with and unable to to recommend a small specialized shop, hopefully somebody else from Seattle will be able to help. If not, Evo is a safe solution they have a pretty good reputation when it comes to bootfitting.

dont go to REI. While there might be a couple good employees spread out throughout the nation that might be okay bootfitters, chances are you're going to get a goob.

There are plenty of shops in Seattle/baker that deserve your money way more that will have better services, options, fitters, and everything. shop local

If you dont know what fits. if you know you fit in a boot you can buy them for cheap on the inter webs but if you dont its always worth it to get fitted and pay that cash

I think the real argument is support your local shop vs. buying online, even if that means paying regular price.

When you buy from a local shop, they will almost always cut you a small deal and you will usually get boot-fitting services done for free or heavily discounted. The latter is more than enough reason to buy local at regular price vs. going online.
