Hello the season is coming quickly and people are starting to aak for recommendations of where they should go.

Lets help these people out by posting a comment with a little info about your home resort to help people decide and so we know who to ask if we have questions about a particular resort.

Ellicottville NY aspen of the East amazing town, solid parks at both mtns great snowmaking and natural snow, only downside is holimont is private on weekends and holidays

Keystone sucks, breck sucks don’t come here cause they suck really bad and your not going to enjoy it so don’t waste your time and don’t come because they all fucking suck so bad...however copper and winter park are A+++++++++ resorts and you should def go to them because they are the BOMB

I live 20 miles south of Purgatory so I have a pass but I really just look forward to skiing Telluride or Touring with my pup. Purg has the typical small/medium resort vibe but kinda inconvenient since its 28 miles from town and like 55 from the airport.

Was just looking at planning a December drive up to Purg/Durango. Fiancé and I have power passes but haven’t been to Purgatory yet and want to check it out. It’s about an 8 hour drive and we already have passes, are you saying it’s not worth it?

FWIW Telluride is about an hour closer to us but you know how expensive those tickets are. We also prefer a chill atmosphere over the luxurious amenities of Telluride...

Oh no man you'll definitely have a good time. I also used to work for Purg (year round management) so I am abit jaded due to time spent at the resort not having fun. Really looking forward to just being a guest this winter though.

I would rather vacation in Durango vs Telluride. More choices food and lodging wise and like you said it's significantly cheaper for the same entertainment value.

Feel free to hit me up when you come. The wife and I are always down for some turns.

Baker was my home mountain. It isn't very big although the sidecountry makes up for that. Most seasons they get the most snow of any ski resort which is nice to brag about, although it rarely gets the champagne variety of powder. The average skier is talented and it's not uncommon to see backys/tricka under the lifts multiple times a day. There is a competitive feeling that exists, though. In the spring, ski patrol and other people will build booters throughout the mountain making it into a big park.

Amazing ski area unlike anywhere I've been. Spend a season there if you can. Bridger is my new home mtn and I'm hoping I'll get a similar experience.

Absolutely tiny hill in ohio, for the few people that have heard of brandy wine/ boston mills, they usually haven’t heard of alpine valley. that being said, the community is absolutely fantastic, the park is super welcoming and all of the riders in there are homies. we have a group chat where we ask the park crew to make features for us and they do what they can. the atmosphere is 11/10

Don't listen to this confused young man. I'd say there's a 50% chance it'll be raining on any given day at Baker. Stevens pass is really where you want to be at.

I learned to ski at Snowbasin and I have a huge soft spot for that place. So many fun lines all over the mountain. Super short hikes from a few of the lifts up to incredible bowls and chutes. And the lodges have the swankiest bathrooms I have ever had the pleasure of doing my business in. Needles gondola laps for dayyyys.

In NC we have skiing better than you might think. Park scene is livid we have some great carving too, and creative setups since our mountains or hills are small.

Snowbowl has tons of big mountain runs, great tree skiing, massive back-country access past Point-6, lots of fun ski bums/other folks and a great bar and is still a mom pop hill. Its home, even if chairs are old af and break occasionally and parking is nuts on busy days.

Oak Mtn in Upstate NY. Place is cheap af and super chill. Only 600 vert but some fun trails and good vibes. I was gonna come back for christmas and build some shit there but probably wont with covid. Prolly too far out of the way for anyone to accidentally be near it, but if you ever are, check it out.

Gore is a more reasonable destination and also an awesome mtn. Really good terrain and I've had as much fun there as out west.


Unfortunately havent ridden either if them in years. Ill be at Oak for taco night next week though.

Switching up the real home mountains from Northstar and Diamind peak to Crystal in Washington. Hoping its a great season. Ive never been but here good things.

There's a run here in Steamboat named Tornado that runs under the Storm Peak lift. It's unofficially know as my line. Also Storm has the coolest lifties in Colorado.
