What's good fellow newschoolers, not gonna lie, I haven't logged on here since probably junior year of high school and I turned 24 in May. I've had 4 ACL surgeries from skiing, went to college, got a "big boy" job, and don't ski as much as I want to but still love the absolute shit out of the skiing community. I grew up in Breckenridge, shredding every chance I had, so skiing will always be a part of my DNA. I always loved graphic design and starting junior year of college, I began a passion project of throwing some designs on some blank Hanes tees with a heat press. Over the past year and a half or so, that passion project has evolved into an obsession and my streetwear brand, "efta." The collections are all just tees, hats, and hoodies for now. I go through a local Denver screen-printer for printing and embroidery, fully legit with custom labels and everything. Not trying to flex, but it's the same printer that does a lot of work for Jiberish, so I get to see their new drops hot off the press when I go to pick up my clothes. It's fucking sick.
Since I was little kid watching old ski and skate videos, I always had an appreciation for style and steeze. However, as I got more into fashion and streetwear, I got tired of seeing everyone rocking the same trends and same shit, just copying each other on Instagram and whatnot. The genesis of this brand was me deciding to just go in on some authentic designs that were true to me, drawing inspiration from everything I fuck with and am passionate about, whether it be fine art, history, nature, philosophy, etc. I take pride in creating thoughtful designs and using the brand as an outlet for pure self-expression. As far as the aesthetic, if it's not clean, you find it on a piece of efta. clothing. I want each design to be like the drop in a song you want to listen to over and over again - when you see it, it just hits.
Long story short, I am humbled and honored to bring my brand before you. I'm not trying hard-sell you to buy it and shout it out, if you like it, that's dope and I really appreciate it. Right now, I have solidified in my mind that this is what I want to do full-time and everyday am working to devise an exit strategy from my day job. I just want to wake up one day and the only things I have to do are design dope clothing and network with dope people. I am trying to break into the demographics of people that this brand is made for - people who are unapologetically themselves, fearlessly pursue their passions, and want to look fresh as fuck while they do it. For me, that means artists of all kinds, skiers, skaters, and passionate free-thinkers. The latest drop of efta. is called the "Unity Capsule" and is all inspired by protests/social justice. You can leave feedback, check out the website and insta, tell me it's wack, move on to the next thread that's more interesting, tell me to go fuck myself, buy some threads, whatever you want. efta. is for the people. Love y'all, appreciate y'all, much love and respect, I'm out.
