Charlie_KellyI feel like there are a few of us in here that are just talking to the wall. It doesn’t matter what reasons we have, we are either with them or against them. Some don’t know how many times we’ve had to answer for what we are doing so they give us the same tired reasoning as to why our vote is (essentially) worth less than theirs. I’m about done with it honestly. But at least we can sleep at night knowing we didn’t contribute to, as you put it, “whichever accused rapist you think would lead this country best”. Just got my Jo sign in the mail, can’t wait to put it up.

Its funny you want to talk about voter suppression when at least 10 million people every 4 years don’t even get represented in the presidential debates because of some arbitrary rule made up by a committee that keeps all the focus on the donkeys and elephants.
Maybe you think I like the GOP because I’m a libertarian? I don’t know but you are misguided if that’s the conclusion you come to. I’m definitely conservative but have no affiliation to the GOP or Democratic Party. They both suck, I just think one sucks more than the other. And I think one party (if they win the presidency) will begin to implement policies that affect my personal liberties (first and second amendment instantly come to mind) far more than the other party.

1. What's wrong with allowing early in person voting or sending out mail in ballots two weeks early given COVID? I'm not seeing the issue there. The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that indefinite confinement illegal, the electoral board issued a clarification, and that was that. Issue solved.
2.a You recognize, that by talking about Kentucky you're invalidating your claims above, correct? To combat COVID, Kentucky opened polls a week earlier than normal....
2.b. Kentucky was the fault of both Democrats and Republicans, not just the Democrats...The Georgia debacle was the fault of COVID and the Republican administration cutting the number of polling places (mainly in black communities). Not sure what you expect Democrats to do when the state government cuts the funding for polling places....
3. Yeah, the GOP are hypocrites, glad you can acknowledge that. Holding them to their standards shouldn't really be surprising.

As to your claims:
1. When have Democrats engaged in voter suppression? Are they the ones purging voter rolls? Reducing funding for voter booths? If anything, their whole party is attempting to do the opposite. Hell, someone earlier was claiming they're introducing bills that could allow voter fraud.
2. I acknowledged both parties engage in gerrymandering. Hell, gerrymandering is technically illegal but it cannot be dealt with at a federal level, only state. As such, it's dependent upon state laws to figure out if it's illegal and state laws are pretty ambiguous. With that in mind, only one party has been found guilty of extreme gerrymandering. Guess who. It's not right, but when it gets so extreme that it's deemed illegal, that should indicate something.
3. Did you expect RBG to step down during Obama's 1st term? She was 76 at the start, 80 at the end. Arguably, she could have retired during his first 6 years. However, the average retirement age of the last 11 Supreme Court Justices was 80 so her actions aren't out of the norm. There was ZERO chance she could have retired once the GOP got the Senate back given the bullshit they pulled with Garland.

It's the new talking point for all the GOP anti-Biden crowd given the sexual assault approach failed.
They want to put him on equal grounds as Trump, given Trump's rape accusations and relationship with Epstein, to help them justify their support for former.
They tried it with the Tara Reade sexual assault allegation but her inconsistent story and lack of supporting cast meant it failed to catch on. Did it happen? Who knows, but these shortcomings makes it hard to tell.
They then tried to point to all the women who said they felt uncomfortable with Biden's actions. But once again, that failed. The events fell far short of sexual assault, even if they are incredibly awkward/inappropriate.
There's a huge leap from socially inappropriate actions to being a rapist. Biden has acknowledged, publicly, that his actions have likely caused some people discomfort and he's working to change that. But to say it means he's a rapist. God damn, talk about character assassination.
But do not forget there has also been a distortion of reality by certain actors covering these events. Several women have come out saying photos/videos portraying their discomfort are wrong and that they felt fine with Biden.
Nothing here even remotely compares to the accusations against Trump, but people tried to make them appear so.

It doesn't matter where you or I are from or what we think, what matters is what the women said/think. And it is clear, they were uncomfortable but NONE of them considered it sexual assault, not even the woman who had been sexually assaulted.

You realize the year that Teddy Roosevelt was elected he was running as a Republican and won 54% of the vote, right? The year he ran as a third party candidate and got 27% of the vote Woodrow Wilson won with only 42% of the vote. The same year the Republican candidate got 23% of the vote. If Teddy hadn't broken ranks with his party the Republicans would have comfortably won with 50% of the vote, but instead since there was a third party the Democrats won despite a majority of the voters not wanting them. The next election Roosevelt's third party no longer existed since they realized all they were doing was helping their opponent beat their allies. The example you gave is exactly why no more than two parties will ever be viable under our election system, all third parties do is take votes away from the major party they are closest to.
I wish this were not the case, but it is just a result of the math of how we run our elections.

You're mistaking me expressing my opinion with telling you what to do. I'm saying if you don't care about climate change, then vote 3rd party. The green party has been trying to help the environment for years dude and nothing has changed, voting for them isn't going to change SHIT bro, voting for Biden will actually help put us in the right direction for climate change regulation.

Charlie_KellyYeah I’ll walk that back I was mistaken. I had recently watched a video on Teddy and conflated his Republican win with his 3rd party performance. I’ll own that. But at the same time I think it’s great what he did (I know you disagree) and wish more prominent politician had the support to make that switch.
I think it's great what he did too, I wish it could have worked out, I'm just pointing out the systematic barriers that make it so third parties essentially sabotage their own causes. If we can raise enough awareness on the state level to change the voting system to something like a ranked system we can pave the path for third parties to become viable

Key word: accused. Biden isn't a rapist. People need to realize that the rape and pedophilia accusations directed towards Biden were merely accusations from the republican party to damage Biden's reputation in the hopes of deterring uninformed people from voting for him.

I'm with ya on this one, it all comes down to decision making, what a candidate is accused of is irrelevant to a point but we got ti protect our only environment as much as possible before it's to late and trump apparently doesn't care at all.

It absolutely blows my mind that 30% of a skiing website are going to be voting for someone who denies climate change. Right now is the most important time to act for climate change or else we're going to do irreversible damage. We're already on course for the worst case scenario predicted in the past. How we vote in this election and the years to come determines if we see skiing die out within our lifetimes or not.
