Just finished The Last of Us 2.

One of the best games I've ever played. It lacks the intricate story-telling from the first game, but makes up for it in the environment design, insane graphics and fantastic soundtrack.

Not sure what to move on to next. What's everyone else playing right now?

SlowbroElden Ring has been kicking my shit in but I'm having fun. The open world aspects are alright but the dungeons are better, Godrick was the first boss that really impressed me.


this game is insane. It is probably the best open world game ever made besides zelda BOTW. I am at 60 hours on my first playthrough and I'm only 2/3rds of the way through the game, and this is coming from someone who has finished every fromsoft game prior. I have literally just been using a longsword, too, the amount of fucking weapons and playstyles in this game is unbelievable. Also wait until you get to see some of the areas later in the game. Genuinely jaw-dropping.

Not a big fan of Caldera either. Verdansk was better.


Been back on the MW grind though. Super glad there are still lobbys to play. Didnt even buy Vanguard or cold war. Im super stoked for MW2 and for them to completely nuke the shitshow that warzone is right now

WZ in general is pretty dogshit, it was fun at first when nobody knew how to be a rat pussy, but people just hide in buildings and wait for you, camp buy zones, hide on roofs, etc

I think Apex does it best right now for BRs, but im not much of a tracking/movement gamer so I've strayed away from apex but it seems like the best right now.

It's not just a simple retexturing, its looking fully re-worked, including the massive gameplay/controls improvements from part 2. Cutscenes all in-engine now instead of pre-rendered, and the comparisons to the PS3/PS4 versions so far are pretty impressive.
Both the original and 2 are easily in my top 5 games of all time so I'm stoked to see it modernized, especially the Salt Lake City portion of the game :)

from my understanding, they have a B-team at Naughty dog working on this remake to build up a bigger amount of devs that're up to speed w/ PS5 development, while the top talent is working on new unannounced IP. Basically exactly like the Last of Us remaster that came out a year after the 2013 original was to get the team up to speed w/ working on the PS4, so they could eventually squeeze every last drop of power out of it for TLOU2. They're also currently developing a full multiplayer The Last of Us game for the past few years now, multiplayers not my cup of tea but I'm sure it'll be quality, people loved the factions multiplayer in the original

a completely new singleplayer PS5 blockbuster from ND thats not TLOU or Uncharted would be amazing, hope we hear more details soon

fun but brutal sums it up perfectly. Def not a light and casual game to just pop into, but when you're in the right mood....close to a masterpiece IMO

Yeah I hated it at first. Now that I understand the looting/backpack system and know the map its a lot more fun. That said I doubt I would play it if my friends didn't play it. Only really play it with a few of the homies and just goof around.

yeah the mechanics werent the problem, it was the gameplay and shitty servers that turned me off. Its the same as WZ1 which i put a couple hundred hours into, just didnt hold my attention.

they did a masters version of tiger woods in 2012, it was the best one they ever made, i cant wait for this version.

Wakeboarding: Unleashed and THUG on PS2 have been the daily work grinds at top shack with the crew. Currently trying to one-up each other and its hilariously good banter. I might donate one of my old 360s with Skate. and Skate 3 downloaded and on-disc up there for ultimate fun. Maybe more of a spring time vibe because we are busy.

They probably will have actual licensed courses. Apparently those big name courses like Pebble Beach, Augusta, etc. are all copyrighted and you have to buy the rights to use them. But dudes in PGA2K22 were absolute wizards with the course designer and would make the courses themselves with LIDAR technology and actually map out the undulations in the terrain and greens. Crazy shit. I love golf games. I still play Tiger Woods 07

I was never able to get into factorio however I was painfully addicted to satisfactory for a while. Until I spent 300 hrs designing and building a nuclear power plant only for it to not work lmao. I still have no idea what's wrong with it
