I have like 10 decks and 6 sets of trucks i swap between them. I ride/have ridden them all; its not like im buying them just to collect.
This is my current daily driver:
its a skull skates 35” mid concave. The flip griptape i put on because the iron cross will piss of antifa cunts.

what wheels does everyone use... got way into what wheels i should get and now my heads spinning. I know there all similar but i like to over complicate things

Built a new setup a few weeks before I fucked my knee up. Actually took her out yesterday and rolled around the park. Felt good to be back out. Not leaving the ground right now but just keeping some speed pumping around feels good. Gonna check out frisco in a few. See if zi can get a casual sesh.

Not the best park to come back too with a still fucked knee, and not skating for 2 months. It gave me anxiety. Sick park but not for me yet.
Did hit breck and had a good time on that snake eun, and the 2 bowls that weren't the super vert kiddie pool. Actually got cruising fairly fast and casual, making some real nice fast carves and feeling good about being on a skateboard.
If there isn't snow when I come back through in early November i might hit all these parks again. Def breck.

these wheels are my current favorite
they are pretty soft at 80a on the durometer but they are very high elasticity so the are more bouncy rather than feeling like they are made from clay bc they deform while rolling. Ive tried other wheels at 78a durometer that feel like they bleed off alot of speed when rolling. The bones atf wheels on the other hand are actually the fastest wheels ive ever tried on typical rough street pavement. Their softness means that if there is a pebble your wheel rolls over, the softness of the wheel will let the pebble make an indentation as it rolls over and absorb/prevent an impact that might slow your board down. But because it has high elasticity unlike typical soft wheels, after the wheel rolls over the pebble the indentation will bounce back and regain any energy that had been stored in the deformation/indentation of the wheel.
in lay terms i would say to compare a ball of clay vs a high elasticity rubber bouncy ball. Obviously the bouncy ball will maintain its speed when you throw it in an empty parking lot better than a round ball of clay will. Both the bouncy ball and the clay might have the same softness, but the elasticity of the bouncy ball makes it carry its kinetic energy better than the low elasticity ball of clay.
i hope that makes some sense.
bottom line is that these wheels feel awesome to ride on when you arent in a smooth skatepark.

I think i did my meniscus. Idk though. No health insurance.
Started getting slash grinds/shitty 5-0s around the corner of the bowl. And on one I was a little wonky and when I hit the flat bottom my foot slipped off the tail and caught and bend sideways at the knee while I was cruising forward. Climbed out of the bowl and was gonna take a break and keep skating maybe then was like oh fuck dude, we gotta go. Shit was the mist5swollen my knee has ever been.
Idk been feeling stronger. Started hiking again the last few weeks. Very casual shit bothing big. But feels real good to skate. Went 3 days in a row now.
I also forgot ghey are probably 10 times quieter than typical hard wheels that are usually around 100a duro. If you care about not annoying your neighbors. On my old 100a wheels landing an ollie almost sounded like a gunshot.

Different people have different tastes tho, and some skaters might prefer skating on typical hard wheels. But overall the reviews on the atf wheels are good. Im not the only one who loves these wheels.

Yeah. That sucks. I lm a trump supporting libertarian but i think everybody should get at least decent healthcare paid for by the government. Its harder to do socialized med in america than it is in europe bc of how unhealthy americans are on avg compared to europeans, but its not impossible.
but for a young person like you who is very athletically active it should be simple to get surgery if you need it. Healthy people like you are going to be overall a very small drag on the social medicine system compared to an obese person who needs multiple million dollar surgeries. So it would piss me off if injuries like yours werent covered by obamacare.
